I just made a sick dock to track every single stat you need as a founder/dev/someone building with AI.
-Github streak + your favorite repos
-Vercel, Stripe, Polar
-TrustMRR page of your own startup, so you can track all-time revenue:)
-Codex, Claude, Cursor with renewal dates for every subscription
Move it around your screen, turn it into a notch, it adapts and shifts to any position
Free and open-source: github.com/tudorp06/myfounde…
a few months ago I built resizeforforms.online : a free online tool. hoping to get traffic purely through organic + seasonal SEO (seeing spikes for a couple of keywords like CAT, IIT JAM, UCEED etc) inspired by @pranvtwt. it's been quietly growing well
well i've been an indie developer since the pre-LLM days and i've always loved building things on the side for people to actually use. back in college i contributed to @kubernetes, project contour, @mesheryio, the @cloudnativefdn glossary, netflix zuul, microsoft oss, @mojaglobal and many more. i also maintained programs like girlscript summer of code and script winter of code, and mentored others along the way.
this work eventually led to some great opportunities, including my swe intern + ppo offer at @yahoo. not ignoring DSA though i grinded leetcode hard for it. in fact, i'm an icpc asia amritapuri doublesite regionalist from my limited time with competitive programming lol.
i've always been a community person. i loved holding a couple of responsibilties like google developer student club facilitator and club lead, won multiple hackathons, and never really stayed away from developer communities. even after starting full-time remote work, i still go to dev events (26+ last year), hackathons (finalist at Indehub iOS hackathon from @swiftdelhi last year) and genuinely enjoy tech conversations ranging from scalability, distribution to all things AI (am an optimist).
so i will put forth my view on this community.
once llms arrived, building got dramatically faster and almost any idea could be turned into something real. but what still separates a solid product from generic slop is taste, attention to detail, and the principle of only charging for something that actually delivers value.
over the last year and a half i've shipped quite a few things and shared them here (thanks to @Shipaton which pushed me to post), yet i never really cracked distribution. building in public still works to some degree, but the recent wave of revenue screenshots has encouraged people to blatantly clone apps with almost no original thought. it's quietly eroding the indie hacking culture on x.
wrapping an open source project in a paywall is reasonable if you're adding genuine value, especially for non-technical users. pure cloning, though, is different. it's creating a bad reputation for everyone and turning the indie space into something shallower. these revenue posts including mine have also produced a sudden rise in superficial pseudo "indie hackers".
of course it is not a zero sum game and the market has enough for everybody and literally folks like @greg and @rileybrown been telling people to "copy what's working, don't reinvent" for years now. nevertheless, differentiate your product, add your taste, show real value and actually solve a problem for users.
building a better product is always a good thing for consumers and it's a real win, especially in this era. i actually believe code produced by opus 5.5 is not slop anymore, and the ability to reverse engineer almost anything is a bright side of all this. but blatantly cloning still does extreme damage to the whole community.
dont you agree?

Replying to @claudeai
On iPhone, voice mode now works with Apple CarPlay. Ask Claude something on the drive and keep your hands on the wheel.
wdym i was lifting weights when @claudeai code posted this on my behalf all by itself lol
now i do have a standardised release workflow for claude code: ⚙️
• follows a preconfigured versioning convention I set
• takes screenshots of every new feature in light + dark mode (for the site and release video)
• creates the GitHub release
• updates the website with the latest DMG
• records a video explaining the new features
• uses ego lite to auto-post on X, Threads, and other platforms as needed
• drafts emails to people who requested those features/bugs
Toolbox 1.4 is out 🧰
• 8 new languages: Español, Français, Deutsch, Italiano, Português, 日本語, 中文, 한국어
• Team licenses: one key for 10, 25 or 50 Macs
• Feedback & bug reports built into the app. We read every one.
