I can't make an argument for Creative Commons in this small a space, but if you release music "for free" that you actually want to be free and remain free, why not try using a CC license?
A DDOS attack on the Internet Archive is surely a nadir for hackerdom, even for these awful times. Go pick on the IMF or World Bank or AfD or something.
#NetlabelDay 2024 is in six weeks. I need more Creative Commons music. Msg me or send smoke signals or semaphore or Morse code or carrier pigeons or whatever it takes, but if you're a musician releasing free music YOU SHOULD BE PART OF THIS.
It's a bright blue beautiful Seattle morning. I'm listening to Bruckner's Sym #4 and wondering why I don't get nearly enough classical music for #NetlabelDay. Must work on that.
Sure would be lovely too if someone from @creativecommons or any of its chapters would notice that it's the 10th Anniversary of Netlabel Day and that we've likely done more to promote freely-licensed music than any other event over that decade.
