Imagine, explore, learn. Reason over emotion. We are very far from achieving AGI, do not fall for the hype.

My Fable usage limit went down without a reset compared to what it was two days ago. If @ClaudeDevs have messed up the limits, then it would be a nice gesture to give us a full reset. nitter.cf/neuralamp4ever/status/…

Yeah, pretty much. This makes the 20X plan only 50% useable for 2X of what it costs to use Fable. Pretty sad state of affairs @ClaudeDevs At least let us use the 100% of the already thin plan with Fable, please.

My timeline is now full of "I am XY old...and I want to connect..." lemmings. How do I stop that? 🙃

.@DavidSacks makes a good case here that the “AI will kill humanity” headlines were orchestrated: they leaped into mainstream media from the dormant X account of an Anthropic employee who quit after six weeks. David names purported perpetrators and calls out the role @WSJ played.

Dario has written that we need to “pace the frontier,” and Sam has agreed. People may be surprised by my response: go ahead. You guys are the frontier. By any reasonable metric — market share, revenue growth, model capability — the two of you have a duopoly on frontier intelligence. You’ve also claimed the lead is widening because of recursive self-improvement. I don’t see what you see in the lab. If the unreleased models are scary enough that you think you should slow down, I support your decision to be responsible. But stop pretending you need anyone else’s permission. Stop pretending antitrust law has to be suspended so you can form a cartel. Stop pretending you need a regulatory approval process that supersedes product liability. Stop pretending METR is independent when it is intertwined with Anthropic’s investors and staff. Stop pretending you need those same evaluators to police competitors who aren’t even at the frontier. Most of all, stop pretending the motivation to slow down is purely altruistic. You face massive product-liability exposure if your products enable a truly damaging cyberattack. The market already punishes models that behave in unpredictable or unauthorized ways. After the Hugging Face episode, it is simply good business for OpenAI and Anthropic to trade some raw power for reliability and predictability. Call it alignment if you want. It is also just giving customers what they want. Pacing the frontier would also create breathing room for a more intelligent conversation about regulation than Bernie Sanders’ “shut it all down.” China is very unlikely to join a global agreement, as you know, and that has to be taken into account as well. So go ahead and pace the frontier. You are the ones setting it. The easiest way not to build superintelligence is for you to agree not to build it. Demanding your preferred regulatory framework as the price of that will look like blackmail of the public and the political system. So just do it. If you do, you’ll buy goodwill for the next conversation. If you don’t, we’ll know this was just another bid for regulatory capture — or an election-season psyop.

Damn somehow I missed that Bernie's AI bill proposes to sentence developers & researchers working on "advanced AI" to 20 years in prison (!!)

Why would AK restrict the replies?🤔

If We Want Fewer Deaths, Start With Aging People get tunnel vision on speculative AI dangers and barely notice the thing that is already killing millions and will, without a breakthrough, kill almost everyone now alive: biological aging. On the individual level, that distinction matters. After you die, you are not around to experience whether society continues. That can sound harsh, but it is the straightforward implication of a corporeal life: once the person is gone, their stake in later history is gone with them. So if the question is whose death you are trying to prevent, the people who exist now come first. AI catastrophe is a real, non-zero risk. It could kill people sooner, and it could also block the research that would save them. Even so, it is still a contested possibility. Aging is the default. Heart disease, stroke, cancer, dementia, and the rest of senescence are what actually end most lives. If the aim is to limit the deaths of humans who are alive today, age-reversal is the intervention that matches that aim. AI safety can still matter as a condition for that work to succeed. It should not crowd out the cause of death that is already on the calendar. If it is not addressed, biological aging will kill every human currently alive.

What are the chances that "novel systems" are the root cause of OpenAI compute shortage problems?

BREAKING NEWS: a new drug reverses (not slows, reverses) biological age in humans by 3-4 years. Not mice, not monkeys. Humans. Did I mention it was created with AI? The medical acceleration is real.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The claim is based on a reanalysis of Phase 2a trial data from 42 IPF patients; six proteomic clocks predicted reduced biological age vs placebo, but the paper states effects may be disease-specific and calls for testing in healthy volunteers. nature.com/articles/s4158… nytimes.com/2026/09/07/sci…

Most people who use GPT-6 Astra for real-world work can easily see that it is far from AGI. Were all those people who suddenly lost their common sense and keep repeating the nonsense about Astra being AGI paid, or did they all go nuts?

Tested the new Gemine 3.8 Flash by asking it to assess my semantic prompting framework. It says I have built a machine gun.😂

🚨 I RECEIVED THIS PRIVATE MESSAGE ON LINKEDIN FROM A VP AT A FORTUNE 500 COMPANY. They asked me to remove their name and company, but gave me permission to share what they described. They describe: 1. H-1B employees getting onto interview panels and rejecting qualified American candidates in favor of preferred candidates. 2. Interview questions and confidential hiring information being passed to friends or associates before interviews. 3. Interviewers receiving commissions or kickbacks when preferred candidates are hired, including payments connected to staffing vendors. 4. Once hired, favored employees receiving better assignments, visibility and promotion opportunities. 5. American workers being given unrealistic deadlines, criticized, marginalized and eventually pressured to resign. Their words for what happens inside the company: “This is called systemic pressure.” Then they describe a second type of “syndicate.” According to the source, managers and their subordinates become partners in grocery stores and restaurants, particularly around Dallas and Austin. They rotate responsibilities so one of them is always at the business, creating another source of income outside their corporate jobs. We’re constantly told H-1B is about hiring the “best and brightest” and the “most qualified.” But what if the American candidate never had a fair shot in the first place? I’ve heard versions of this story far too many times. If you’ve personally witnessed it, DM me here or on LinkedIn. Send receipts if you have them. Your identity and employer will remain confidential. @HarmeetKDhillon @DOLOIG @JDVance @RepRileyMoore @RepGregSteube

Companies should go back to in-person interviews. nitter.cf/RealWaKhan/status/2091…
Many Indians are using "Parakeet AI" to pass job interviews. It can generate answers in real time. The AI overlay can also remain hidden from the interviewer even when the candidate shares their screen. Many cheating their way into lucrative jobs!
