Thinking back to when my IT teacher sent a note home to my parents saying I should drop the subject due to an obvious lack of talent and interest
Everyone can shine given the right environment with purpose and autonomy. I always choose to believe in the potential of people!
Congratulations @NIDeveloper on receiving the first Now Go Build award, and from @Werner himself! Amazing!
How it started How it's going
Driving the NC500 in Scotland we noticed similar. The large number of road signs that are supposed to be helpful but were making tourist drivers unnecessarily scared then brake hard. Then locals were getting annoyed and overtaking in the stupidest locations. All because of a sign
I posted a picture of my parent's village where the residents have managed to keep it free of road markings. I use it as a visual example of how overladen we are with bureaucracy that makes people's lives worse, in the name of making it better. It's very hard to argue against any regulation supposedly based on safety or performance that are used as a universal trump card to create an arms race of rules and our built environment is now full of them. ht @Alright_dot for the render with signage. Original on the right.
Did they change the rules for VAR this season? The flag was up for offside from the linesman and it still went to VAR anyway and they ruled it a goal for reasons the commentators can’t explain. I thought if linesman flagged that was it
What an amazing day, marrying @kperreault95 in front of our friends and family at the beautiful @KilleavyCastle. Even the rain couldn’t dampen our spirits
It’s supposed to be good luck if every bird in a 50 mile radius poops on your car before you head to your wedding venue, right? Right??? 😭😂
I really like App Runner too
Why is the App Runner sundown article gone from the AWS blog? Did they revert their decision? I'm confused.
Still found on Google & listed on aws-news.com, but article seems to be removed.
What's the state here?
Confidence, clarity and stability.
They would talk to me about the big opportunities to solve then let me be 100% myself in solving them whilst offering direct feedback on what I was doing well / could improve from their perspective
I don’t normally get sucked in but this is amazing! Pity it’s not @McDonaldsUK
The one day we travel, all of UK airspace goes down 😭😭😭
I am aware of a technical issue which impacted @NATS operations causing travel disruption this afternoon.
I have been informed systems have now been restored but continued disruption is expected, and passengers should check with individual airports for advice.
I asked Kiro to redesign the home page in the theme of Jurassic Park where the ghost is an employee who didn't make it off the island... It did weave the story in well but the colours are definitely off 😂
I always find it endearing that any time I cut the hedges at the front of my house onto the footpath. An older person always stops to ask me about the tools I’m using and to tell me I’m doing a good job
So apparently @amazon now texts me when a driver is about to deliver to say “if it’s dark please turn on a light”. Sms texts me, not an app notification
Can… can they not just use the time of the day to not send me that text during daylight hours? Also can it be a notification?
When the vet tries to give your dog a treat and he does the dog equivalent of “stranger danger, don’t take sweets from people you don’t know”
