"the car has been horrible and difficult to drive the whole season [..] the fact we even won almost three races was a pretty sizeable achievement in itself."
👏 he deserves so much more credit for the season he's had.

"how do you feel about passing over the baton to kimi and what he's managed to achieve this year? did he have it easier, a lot harder than you did?"
lando: "i don't really care. he's winning a world championship and he's going to win the world championship. i don't think anyone really cares how you do it, honestly. they shouldn't. he's done an incredible job and i would say he's done it in a pretty incredible way. people are saying he hasn't had any tough competition this year, but that proves exactly the point that he's done such an incredible job. he's got a very, very talented teammate that he's beaten through the whole season.
no, i have nothing but respect for kimi and he's a very, very nice guy. we get along very well and i'm more than happy to pass the number one over to him. he deserves it. he's done an incredible job, especially in second year in formula one, to be the youngest world champion, all of these things that he's going to achieve. that's pretty insane. so i'm more than happy. i enjoy seeing other people have that kind of success so it's nice to see.
i know i've had a pretty horrible defensive title, but there's not much more i could have done. i feel like i've driven a very, very good season. we just haven't had the car, and that's nothing that's really in my control. so from my side, i feel like i've done my very best, and the races where i could fight against him, i feel like we've had good fights, and it's been a good season from that perspective, but more than happy to pass the number one over to him because he deserves it easily more than anyone"

lando was asked about what it means to use his platform and influence to make a positive difference through charity, and he gave such a beautiful answer ❤️
"it's cooler than winning a race, to be honest with you. the same as just having a positive influence over people, the fact that i can make a difference with things. there's a lot more personal and a lot more meaning in life than winning one race. so an external thing from my job that is almost cooler than the job itself, is the fact that i have such a big following and i can say things and help out in ways that you almost couldn't do, especially to that magnitude, if i wasn't doing what i was doing. so the fact i can influence and hopefully positively affect people.
honestly, that's cooler than winning a championship or winning a race or anything. that's the stuff i almost get more pleasure in doing than the job itself."

"what's your 4th rule for life?"
lando: "an easy one to come from last year, i would say, is believe in yourself. but i think that's just easier said than done. it certainly helps when you have belief in what you're doing, whatever your job or whatever line of work you're in, and try things.
i don't like to go and try new things. but life's short, so it's nice to be outside your comfort zone sometimes. you might regret it, but at least you'll be happy that you kind of gave it a shot"

"where does the inspiration come from when designing a new helmet?"
lando: "nowadays, any special helmet i do has generally a lot more meaning behind it. but it can be from celebrating an artist in that country that we're racing in, it can be a promotional piece, or an awareness piece from say montreal when i did race against dementia, or it can be a celebration piece for 1000 races with mclaren, 100 races for me etc.
there's generally some more meaning behind most of them now because there's been a couple years like 2020-21 i pretty much had a new helmet every single race and that was just fun helmets like just cool random stuff, that had kind of no meaning bar new helmet, new weekend. but now they're all a little bit more meaningful and that's something that's always pretty cool"

each of the last 3 mexico gps showcased a different lando skill:
2023: racecraft - went from p17 to p5.
2024: awareness - survived all max’s murder attempts.
2025: pace - was in a league of his own.

We’re going old school with the games 😂

and max was very open in interviews after this about how he did it on purpose because it would screw lando out of a win and help keep the gap between them in the standings
but people still try to claim he didn’t race lando differently and/or never viewed him as a threat lol
UN MES!?*@?@#**!# podría llegar a volverme loca, no es joda
We estimate that service restoration for #AO3 will take around 2 weeks but it could be up to 4 weeks. We are hopeful that we will be able to bring the site back up in a degraded state sooner. Refer to our status page for updates: otwstatus.org/
