Incoming Collin College Freshman Umar Ahmed has been one of the most impressive 2-Way players at the Southwest Shootout Oklahoma JUCO Jamboree. Umar averaged 17.5 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 1.0 APG, 0.5 BPG, 0.5 SPG and 75.0 3P% (4.0 attempts). The 6’5 Guard brings size, scoring ability and versatile defensive presence. Capable of knocking down shots both off the catch and off the dribble while also attacking the rim, Ahmed consistently impacts the game with his all-around skill set and ability to defend multiple positions. Capable of knocking down shots both off the catch and off the dribble, he also uses his athleticism and all-around skill set to finish at the rim as a creator or cutter. Defensively, Barlow is an effective perimeter defender who can guard multiple positions and provide rim protection. Zlatorog Laško Guard Taij Pesjak is one of the most intriguing prospects to watch in the OTP League this season. The 6’4 Guard opened the season against ECE Triglav with 13 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 16 VAL. Pesjak averaged 3.2 PPG, 1.7 RPG, 0.8 APG and 0.2 BPG at the U18 EuroBasket. In the Slovenian League, he averaged 6.8 PPG, 1.6 RPG, 0.8 APG and 0.7 SPG. At the U20 level, the 2007-born averaged 18.5 points per game. Other statistics are not available.
