Replying to @GraemeKelly1
Said it for years: domestic refs shouldn't officiate their own leagues. To fix the bias, the Premier League should select 20 top-tier referees from across Europe to handle our matches—and other countries should do the same. Neutral officiating is the only way forward.

Whatever happens here scoreline wise, huge questions need to be asked of Xabi Alonso after the 3 performances this week. #CHEMNU

Gravenberch far, far too anonymous in that midfield.

How has Carrick now been relieved of his duties today? What could the board possibly be waiting for? Shambles from Wilcox.

Saw Trent is now third choice RB at Real, came on for 30 seconds in the Clasico and got one touch. What a waste of a career he's having since that move.

Slot's level of control last year…
Slot is gone, but one thing I liked about his system was how we controlled games with the ball. Compared to Iraola's style, Slot's system gave us more control over the tempo. We could keep possession, slow things down when needed and make the opposition chase the ball instead of turning every game into a high-intensity battle. It also helped us manage games better because we didn't always have to press aggressively to win the ball back. Sometimes, keeping the ball was enough to control the game and limit the opponent's chances. Iraola brings his own strengths with the intensity, pressing and quick transitions. I love that too. But I think having that level of control from Slot's system could be useful for Iraola as well. Imagine combining Iraola's intensity with the ability to slow games down, keep possession and control the tempo when needed. That's a scary combination. 🔴👏

That United lad is going to go naturally bald before he ever has to cut his hair, isn't he.

Bang on the money. Already know of people cancelling their Sky subscriptions. English game needs an overhaul - first punish City then overhaul the PGMOL. Bring in the best referees from around Europe, and have them clarify the vague rulebook.
Football is in crisis here. Genuinely think people will fuck it off if City aren’t punished accordingly, and soon. The limbo only makes it worse. I’ve always resisted conspiracy theories about officials, mainly because if that’s what’s going on, what are we all doing here? But why make appointments that feed the conspiracy? Chris Kavanagh, from Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, for this game? When trust is already on the floor, when people are already questioning the integrity of the competition, surely you look at that appointment and think: why invite it?
