It’s often a cortisol–insulin–muscle pattern.
Poor sleep and chronic stress raise cortisol.
Higher cortisol worsens insulin resistance.
Less muscle makes fat loss harder.
Fix the pattern.

University of Minnesota researchers studied 9,660 COVID-19 patients and found that starting metformin within 6 days of infection was associated with a 53% lower risk of Long COVID or death.
The findings reinforce earlier randomized trial results.
