Ας είναι αιωνία η μνήμη όλων εκείνων που αγωνίστηκαν και θυσιάστηκαν για την ελευθερία της πατρίδας μας. Και είθε να αξιωθούμε να παραδώσουμε στις επερχόμενες γενεές όχι μόνον άσβεστη τη μνήμη των ηρώων του 1940, αλλά και αλώβητη την πολύτιμη κληρονομιά των ιδανικών τους, τις αρχές και τις αξίες εκείνες που ενέπνευσαν τον αγώνα τους, ενίσχυσαν το φρόνημά τους και επισφραγίστηκαν με την υπέρτατη θυσία τους στον βωμό της ελευθερίας.
