We’re partnering with Accenture on independent evaluation of frontier AI—part of our recent commitment to embed evaluators at Anthropic. Both we and Accenture expect to invest at least $1 billion to build capacity in this area over the next five years. anthropic.com/news/accenture…
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Anthropic presents this as an "independent evaluation" but will directly fund Accenture's work and has a prior commercial partnership with the firm for deploying its models, including training ~30,000 Accenture professionals on Claude.

This is brilliant, love the direction @NotionHQ's taken!
The missing puzzle piece for me is Projects (or some equivalent "container" primitive) to curate and scope knowledge, artifacts, tools, and skills.
This quoted post is unavailable.
Ultimately, the project is the folder is the agent

Everyone's building mega-swarm systems. I just realized: a folder with a CLAUDE.md is already an agent.
For @CoraComputer I have a source folder, a customer support folder, a bug investigation folder. Each is an agent. New discipline? New folder. No lock-in, no dependency.
Orchestration is just one layer that spawns across folders. Build brick by brick first.

@vivekhaldar This reminded me of our chat. Interesting to see projects slowly start to become one of meatier central primitives across the board!
Probably too late to walk back, but it's ironic that we ended up coalescing on "factory" as the metaphor of choice for the future of how software gets built.
I thought we just spent the last two decades relegating "feature factory" to its rightful place in the lexicon.
Fascinating. Very curious about the underlying architecture, and how this was trained.
After co-inventing ChatGPT, I kept asking myself: why have superhuman chat models not led to AGI?
I’ve spent the last 2 years in stealth building a new way to train models (RLCD), and a new type of frontier AI model that we are releasing today: Jev
• 20-200x faster
• 40-400x cheaper (w/ output tokens free)
• Frontier composable intelligence optimized for decisions
AFAICT the shortest path to AI-based economic revolution
"Jev can't generate text"
Sounds like the revenge of the shape rotator!

Replying to @CompleteSkeptic
The gains aren’t free: Jev can't generate text
Comparing Jev vs LLMs side-by-side makes the trade-off clear
Fun fact: replacing sequential computation with parallel is the same way Transformers leapfrogged RNNs
How the frontier really got paced
To make sure our current users have an incredible experience and continued access to Astra, we are going to pause subscriptions to our $200 Pro plan. These put the most strain on our systems and we wanted to take the smallest step that allows us to continue giving the broadest access possible. All other plans and the api remain available.
There is no impact to existing accounts and we are working on adding more capacity as fast as we can. Thanks!
Brilliantly written. This deserves so much more visibility.
Make it the one thing you read, especially if you've been reeling from all the breathless takes and countertakes.
The contagion of fear

Turns out, @bot re-orgs are seamless, but still leave you a little wistful
Fully agree

Really a headscratcher that there still isn’t an Alexa equivalent that runs ChatGPT or Claude.
You’d think the labs would want to tackle this at some point - it’s a massive market with a captive audience once installed.
Probably a matter of focus and timing?
