NYT explains the Democrats' "audacious, secretive plan" to put another Dan Sullivan on the ballot in Alaska.
A 90 second summation of exactly what happened:
"Democrats, including Mary Peltola's campaign, have said they have no connection to this Dan Sullivan."
"That's simply not true."
"In fact, Democrats with the Mary Peltola campaign and with the national party engaged in an audacious, secretive plan dating back to last year designed to help Mary Peltola win by stacking the ballot in her favor."
"They came up with a plan to recruit other candidates onto the Senate ballot, and the goal was to divide Republican voters and hope that some of them would vote for these alternative candidates on the ballot."
"As part of that effort, a Peltola staff member was instructed to create a list of the Dan Sullivans in Alaska."
So, they all lied, and continue to lie.
Not sure if that's the bigger story here, or the fact that NYT decided to conduct a random act of journalism.

Today's New York Times piece revealed the extent of the deception that Mary Peltola, her campaign, and her allies resorted to - with the goal of tricking Alaska voters and stealing a Senate seat. Mary Peltola’s actions made a mockery of our elections. Peltola and the Democrat Party knew that her pathetic record couldn’t stand up to Senator Dan S. Sullivan’s incredible hard work, so they chose lying to voters instead. This is the same political party that @jktforak pledges allegiance to. Nonetheless, I hope JKT will have the integrity to join me in condemning Mary Peltola’s dirty tricks.

According to the NTSB, her husband was the sole occupant of the aircraft. That makes him the pilot in command and the final authority on whether the aircraft is airworthy. It was his responsibility to calculate the weight and balance of the aircraft. But the report determined he did not weigh any of the cargo that he loaded in the aircraft. Early in their training, every student pilot taught that calculating weight and balance of an aircraft is critical in the safe operation of every flight. He failed to conduct a rudimentary safety check and died as a direct result, but she sued the aircraft’s owner for $100,000. It appears the incident was viewed as an opportunity to profit by shifting the blame, instead of accepting the truth that her husband failed to adhere to a basic safety protocol.
In my opinion, this indicates her propensity to disregard facts when they are inconvenient. Do you want someone making decisions about your life and liberty, who so readily disregards facts when they don’t line up with her goal? Read the report and decide for yourself.
Here’s my prediction: This is step 1 in her transition to not being a stealth D anymore.
She will switch parties to run as a D in 2028 to avoid being primaried.

Given that Senator Lisa Murkowski abandoned Alaska values a long time ago, I am not surprised that she has endorsed “Just Keep Taxing” JKT. The guy who supports an income tax, wants to double the gas tax, doesn’t support a full PFD, and whose allegiance lies with extreme socialists hellbent on fighting President Trump to the detriment of everyday Alaskans is most certainly aligned with our failing senator.
I actively campaigned against Senator Murkowski in 2010, trying to sound the alarm on her liberal policies, and I will continue today to sound the alarm on the liberal policies of JKT.
As Governor, I will not be a sitting duck, and I can assure you, I will actively work to unseat the worst “Republican” senator in the country. @POTUS @realDonaldTrump
