For Starmies who haven't read Watercolor here is how I found it (spoiler-free): – I loved it a lot – I didn't find it boring. I found it warm, healing, and aesthetically pleasing – I am so fond of the thai title and its double meaning: Thee-Phak-Phing See-Nam (Shelter of Watercolors) It literally means the cozy art studio sheltering them, but poetically signifies how they become each other’s shelter and safe zone. Seenam heals Phakin’s gloomy life, and Phakin protects Seenam’s bright but sensitive soul. – I loved that it was green-flag romance. Although hurt and gloomy, Phakin is mature, supportive and super attentive. He starts as a private guy who loves his space but falling for Seenam changes him in a really beautiful way. Seenam is positive, bright and warm. Expressive with his feelings. The communication is chef's kiss in this book. 🤌🏻 – I just loved these 2 characters so much. Both separately but even more together as a pair. If I had to describe their love story in one phrase it would be mutual healing. It's sunshine and sunshine protector but it's actually the protector who gets healed. – The setting and the romance were so aesthetically pleasing even though it was only a book. The images that were running through my head while reading were so beautiful. Art studio, pretty postcards, bicycles and local eateries – the cinematic potential is huge and I'm actually so excited to see JuMark bring it to life. – Even though it is slice-of-life and slowburn it wasn't boring.
