We're hiring! #JoinOurTeam today.
Last week, our Traffic Unit stopped a driver travelling 172 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone on Highway 1 westbound, 92 km/h over the limit. Their explanation? They were trying to pass traffic to make the Westview exit and the downhill slope apparently helped pick up their speed.
The driver received a $483 excessive speeding ticket, a $109 unsafe lane change ticket and a 7-day vehicle impound.
Missing an exit isn't worth putting others at risk. Slow down and drive safely.
🎃 Calling all little witches, ghosts and superheroes!

🎃 No tricks, just a few tips for a safe Halloween!
Keep safety part of the plan: be safe, be seen, know your local fireworks restrictions and make responsible choices.
Watch our video for a few reminders before heading out on Halloween night.
145 km/h in a 70 zone. That’s no small overshoot.
This past weekend, one of our officers stopped a driver travelling westbound off the Second Narrows Bridge at 75 km/h over the posted speed limit.
The result? A $483 ticket and a 7-day vehicle impound.
Getting where you’re going a little faster isn’t worth the risk. At those speeds, things can go wrong in a hurry, and it’s not just your own safety on the line.
With Halloween approaching, the #NorthVan RCMP is issuing a reminder to residents of fireworks restrictions and urging safe and responsible behaviour.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones, and to the families, friends and colleagues of the other members. Our thoughts are also with those injured as they recover, and everyone affected by this tragedy.

This week, we’re proud to host the Women’s Tactical Advancement Workshop (W-TAC) in #NorthVan.
The new pilot initiative brings together women and gender-diverse RCMP officers from across the country who are interested in specialized and tactical policing roles.
Over the course of the workshop, participants are getting hands-on experience, connecting with officers already working in specialized roles and learning more about the paths available to them, including what it takes to pursue these opportunities.
We’re pleased to be part of an initiative that helps officers see what’s possible in their careers and prepare for what comes next.
The #NorthVan RCMP is investigating a series of assaults involving victims who were allegedly invited to meet in person through a dating app.

The #NorthVan RCMP is pleased to confirm that the 31-year-old woman reported missing on September 20 has been located, and she is safe and sound. The RCMP thanks the media and public for their assistance.
We were honoured to join RCMP members, veterans, families, friends and communities from across Canada at the RCMP National Memorial Service in Regina this past weekend.
Held each year on the second Sunday of September, the service honours the 251 RCMP members, civilian members, auxiliary members and special constables who lost their lives in the line of duty.
At our @RCMPDepot cenotaph, we came together to remember their service, honour their sacrifice and ensure their legacy is never forgotten.
🚴♂️ They’re off!

We’re not here to debate the technology.
