I don’t subscribe to the idea that fashion is this sacred thing that posers are ruining, brand tourists & the label fiends are just as necessary as genuinely loyal nerds. What bothers me is when people conflate the two & discredit the entire space as a result.

This endless repetition of the Birkin has gone too far. People are finding 1-man leather ateliers to make them off-brand & dozens of small brands are just releasing iterative Birkins. There are so many other bags to make.
