Today, @nucleusgenomics is announcing Vitruvian, our newest set of genetic optimization models.
Vitruvian’s intelligence model can optimize embryo DNA for 14 IQ points — nearly a standard deviation.
The models were trained on 1,000,000+ people, validated across 40,000+ siblings, and used more than 7 million genetic markers.
In Superintelligence, Nick Bostrom proposed genetic optimization as a key way for humanity to keep pace with rapidly advancing AI.
Bostrom’s vision is no longer theoretical.
Genetic optimization, like AI, has followed a scaling law: as datasets have grown, so have model capabilities. This trend will continue.
Parents across the world now have the choice to substantially increase their child’s intelligence.
And the next generation can choose to do the same.
AI is no longer the only intelligence that will compound.
Humanity can now direct its own evolution.
This is huge news.

I have tonight resigned from the Workers Party of Britain because I profoundly disagree with the decision to stand in the Holborn and St Pancras by-election. I have a huge amount of respect for George Galloway, but I believe we should get behind Zack Polanski on this occasion. My firm view is that the left must collaborate to defeat the Labour Party, Reform UK, Conservatives and Lib Dems because these parties are all in the pocket of the neoliberal Zionist war machine. Zack is best placed to do that in this by-election.
I commend Zack's recognition that the govt can intervene in the economy to create a good society because it issues the currency. I applaud his position on the so-called war on drugs, which has absolutely failed. I salute his pragmatic and compassionate analysis of illegal immigration. And I commend his assessment of the criminal justice system.
I do have some differences on a small set of issues, most notably their current pro-EU and pro-NATO stances, but my view is that we should agree where we agree, which is on most things, and simply have fraternal disagreements where we don’t.

Very true. Like, for instance, in the US, we all know how normal it is for a few guys to go down to the local reservation and set an Native American's house on fire, while the US army stands around waiting for the Native to react aggressively so he can be shot in the head.
