Arwen Troyer played the last line of defense for the Elida Lady Bulldogs, slamming the door on the Lexington Lady Minutemen with a fingertip save that left the Elida defense's hard work sealed up tight and helped keep a 2-1 lead enroute to the district title.

Ava Boccio's corner was the perfectly addressed envelope, and Maci Roberts signed, sealed, and delivered a header into the back of the net. Giving the Clear Fork Lady Colts the only goal of the match against the Ottawa-Glandorf Lady Titans.

Your Buckeye Express Car Wash MVP is Elida Lady Bulldogs goalkeeper Arwen Troyer, who made nine saves in a 2-1 win over Lexington in the D3 District Final at Lexington H.S. It is Elida's 2nd district championship in as many seasons. After a late penalty kick gave Elida the lead, Lexington sent shot after shot at Troyer over the last 10 minutes. She answered with save after save, including a fingertip stop that kept it 2-1, and the crossbar helped on a couple more. Troyer said the team's trust in each other kept her composed, and she said she is "really happy that I get to have this experience." Hear from Arwen in her interview with the OH Report. Congratulations to Arwen and the Lady Bulldogs, who move on to regionals next Tuesday.

Your Arcelor Mittal MVP is senior Kamryn Cocherl of the Pleasant Lady Spartans, who are district champs again after a 3-0 sweep of Utica in the D5 District Final at Ohio Dominican Univ. The Lady Spartans remain perfect and have not lost a set this year. It's the 4th consecutive district title for Pleasant. Kamryn was nearly perfect in the win over Utica. When the Lady Redskins battled in the second set, a 25-18 finish, Kamryn reset her teammates from the back row. "I'm the last option in the back row, and usually I do a good job at resetting people and just building that momentum back up," she said. Pleasant moves on to a regional semifinal at Ontario against Centerburg. Congratulations to Kamryn and the Lady Spartans!
