It’s been hard not telling anyone about this. Beyond excited.

Republicans love saying people are abandoning California in record numbers, yeah and they probably just turned Texas blue.

It's been about two weeks since my last update, and I've been struggling with the outline of my new movie after @remainmovie.
I've been filling this notebook with ideas and doing research calls, but I've been feeling lost. I almost gave up on the outline altogether but this morning I committed to outlining through the end of the year, then starting the screenplay after Christmas.

This is my favorite kind of art 101 criticism. If Thriller didn’t have a Halloween tie-in, if Star Wars didn’t have John Williams’ score, if Bob Dylan didn’t have those lyrics, if Heath Ledger wasn’t in the Dark Knight— if Steph Curry couldn’t hit those threes...

Watch a good film from another country. See the day to day lives and cares of different people in their own words and pictures — this is actually a step toward becoming a better person. Unless you think ignorance is some cherished state of being.
Errol Morris was hired by Elizabeth Holmes in 2015 to shoot a series of notorious ads for Theranos that depicted her staring wide-eyed into the camera.
Morris exclusively reveals to Variety that he actually conducted a two-hour interview with Holmes that he’s contemplating releasing in the wake of "You Can See Everything."

We’re all gonna feel so misled about this when they reveal that Batman 2 and 3 were shot back to back so Robert Pattinson could be Bond.
It would be cool to see Amanda Seyfried win an Oscar and an Emmy for the same part. I would also support a Broadway production that paves the way for a full EGOT.
Ellen Burstyn expresses dismay over Mike Flanagan’s “The Exorcist” reboot coming next year.
“Isn’t there enough already of the ‘Exorcist’ thing?” she exclaims. “It’s enough already.”

Elon Musk will put up to $10 billion into Skydance to help the media giant pay down debt while also giving SpaceX satellite subsidiary Starlink a foothold in the entertainment business.
That was the eye-opening prediction offered Wednesday by John Malone, the billionaire media mogul who has earned a reputation as a sage for his ability to anticipate the future. Musk had already been reported to be a potential investor in Skydance, but Malone highlighted his corporate portfolio as well as the relationship with Skydance backer Larry Ellison, father of CEO David Ellison. deadline.com/2026/10/elon-mu…

The post's lead sentence presents as fact what John Malone called his "big prediction" of a possible future SpaceX/Skydance deal; no such investment has been announced or confirmed by the companies.

Netflix (all streamers) should look at the Top Ten gamification of it’s content. Because it lends to devaluation overall. Guardrail quality and audience — example: they identified that kids love Is It Cake? in what rational world is it on chart next to adult fare?
Man drawing social security asks, “what am I paying taxes for?”
“I’m old. I’ve paid my home off,” said Ray Warner, a 72-year-old Akron resident. “Why would I pay property tax?”
Across the country, homeowners are asking the same question and revolting against property taxes at a scale not seen in a half century.

I watched Bring It On with my daughter yesterday and feel like we have to have an honest look at why we can’t replicate this sense of scale for anywhere close to this budget now.

I’m so happy there’s a TV show devoted to the thesis “Love Is Blind,” which they disprove over and over — and yet they continue on, in the name of science.
It’s kind of wonderful that thanks to social media we can get endless political fundraising ads for local elections in places we don’t live.
My problem with Carrie adaptations after 1974 is that Carrie White is a school shooter not an X-Man.
