We must start to reject the trope that Africa's infrastructures are not developed enough to deliver gene-editing clinical trials.
Although @JayasreeKIyer piece focuses on general access, I believe clinical trials can save lives - even a few thousand is worth it.
After all, if you're going to cure sickle cell why not include the continent with the largest patient population?
