It’s World Glaucoma Week.
Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of blindness in Canada. It cannot be detected without an eye exam, so regular eye check-ups are crucial for early detection.

All eye exams covered by OHIP stopped on Sept. 1, and now kids are struggling to read lessons in school and seniors can’t get prescriptions.
This morning, I’m calling on Ford to get back to the table with optometrists to give children and seniors the eye care they need. #onpoli

@celliottability @fordnation ... this chart and this morning's TorStar editorial say it all: enough is enough ... #saveeyecare #onpoli #on
@celliottability's offer of 8.48% is not reasonable. Agree to ensure we are not the lowest paid Optometrists in Canada and we will stop our job action and return to the table. We have the highest cost of living in ON and therefore expenses #saveeyecare #onpoli #on

Do you mean you’ve seen all those others in person or you’re too young to have witness the greatness of Kareem Abdul Jabbar (my favourite player and all time leading scorer@for the NBA—the sky hook alone—grace personified!) And yes, class act indeed. 😊
I didn't. This is for what I PERSONALLY witnessed and I was never fortunate enough to see KAJ in action. IMO quietest #1 scorer in league history. ANY sport. And a class act gentleman to boot!
You forgot Kareem!!! 💕
Just realized I've lived to witness the greatness of Muhammad Ali, Gretzky, Lemieux, Crosby, Bird, Magic Jordan, LeBron, Kobe, Shaq, Derek Jeter, Ronaldo, Messi, Federer, Serena Williams, Tom Brady, Tiger Woods, Usain Bolt & Michael Phelps #GoodLife

Losing small biz and local restaurants will mean that big businesses will take over the void they leave. Our choices become fewer, pricing less competitive, quality will be all about mass production & jobs will disappear for efficiency. Absolutely critical we support small biz.

Primary open angle glaucoma, the most common type of glaucoma, develops painlessly and gradually. It can gradually destroy your vision without you even knowing. Regular eye exams are the only way to assess glaucoma risk & detect the presence of the disease. #BeSeenIn2020
