Latest Inside The Toon is live with the boys @ollyclink and @FordeyNUFC Reflecting on the huge win over Crystal Palace, Osula, Nico G and Everton twice Featuring a great debate of cup versus league this season and a truly terrible picture of me #NUFC youtu.be/L_6kO3wgOvU?is=QHEb…

Quick thoughts - A massive win that wasn't pretty at times. In the first half, I was extremely concerned as we offered absolutely nothing and looked lost. Second half couldn't have been more different, and we are seventh, and it's certainly not all perfect, but Jaissle changed it and it worked, which deserves huge credit. Hornicek - Few people questioning him recently, but he made a few huge saves, dealt with balls into the box and started the first goal. Deserved clean sheet. Dedic - Makes a massive difference on the right. Positive in every action and a big role in both goals with a lovely cutback for Barnes. Schar and Burn - Huge decision to call on the old guard once more, but they helped us get a clean sheet. Lack of pace a problem, but they were solid. Nico G - Only player in the first half who tried anything. Second half, he was top class. Aggressive on and off the ball and some delightful skill for that second goal. Man of the Match. Joelinton - I was concerned about him playing, but he performed well, especially in the second half. Unlucky not to get an assist for Willock. Barnes and Murphy - We all know their deficiencies, but Murphy's crossing has never been in doubt and neither has Barnes' finishing. Unbelievable cross for Osula from Murphy, clinical finish by Barnes. Osula - Felt sorry for him in the first half, tbh. But give him chances, and he will score goals. It might look simple, but he's there to score it. Then after that, the confidence was back. Jaissle - There have been calls to sack him, but Newcastle are seventh in the league, and though it's not even close to being perfect. Whatever he said at half time worked, proving he's a very good motivater. He made some huge calls with the XI, and they worked. #NUFC

Latest Inside The Toon is live. Come for the discussion on that 3-1-6 formation and Dan Burn up front, stay for Shaun's rant about Jaissle's website. With @ollyclink #NUFC youtu.be/bQ1G89CsRNo?is=VYrB…

It was a difficult night for MFP on Monday with two big chances not going his way, and I think for now, he needs to not be the striker. However, there is clearly a very talented footballer in there that just needs some time to adapt and grow. He is raw and for the fee, you would hope he was a little bit more established, but it's a new transfer policy of trying to recruit potential. I'd like to see him on the left tomorrow with Osula leading the line and Barnes tucked in on the right to allow Dedic to overlap because Cash is Aston Villa's weakness. #NUFC

Inside The Toon is back after the international break. Great to be back with @ollyclink and Shaun Custis and for his debut @AGOTHChannel. I've been looking to get him on for ages, so delighted he joined and provided some fantastic tactical insight. Of course, there was only one topic of discussion, the 4-1 defeat to Coventry, with very differing views. #NUFC youtu.be/Z4SynCvU-W4?is=Xjdk…
