Now, they’re powering something interesting with @FungoLabs ahead of its Genesis mint on November 5, 2026.
Here’s everything you need to know.
The Genesis mint has a total supply of 3,000 NFTs:
- 500 free mints reserved for whitelist holders.
- 2,500 NFTs available through a sealed-bid auction.
The interesting part? The auction is powered by Zama’s Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE).
Here’s how it works:
- Bids are placed in cZAMA.
- While bidding is open, your bid price and quantity remain encrypted onchain.
- Once bidding closes, bids are revealed and ranked from highest to lowest.

Out of 3,000 NFTs, 500 are reserved for whitelist holders, while the remaining 2,500 will be distributed through a sealed-bid auction.
You'll bid in cZAMA by choosing your price and the number of NFTs you want. Your bid amount stays encrypted until the auction ends.
The highest bids get priority and the bid that fills the 2,500th spot determines the final price. Everyone who wins pays the same amount, with any excess cZAMA refunded.

those who got a genesis wl will be able to mint for free, only paying a small gas fee
there will be 500 free mint spots for wl holders, followed by a public sale of 2,500 NFTs through an auction
for the auction, you choose how much you’re willing to pay per nft and how many you want, but other bidders can’t see your price or quantity while bidding is open
once bidding ends, the highest bids get the NFTs, and the lowest successful bid determines the price everyone pays
so even if you bid higher, you only pay the final price and get the extra refunded
just keep in mind, bids can’t be cancelled once placed so choose your price carefully

a few weeks ago, when i first learned about @FungoLabs and what they’re building with zama’s FHE tech
i had a feeling zama OG NFT holders might get a spot in the genesis mint
so i picked up a few OG NFTs at around $5 each
well, there’s another benefit now cus fungolabs recently announced 7% of the $FUNGO supply will go to zama OG holders
so my guess was almost right, and as of now the floor price for the nft is about $38, with the best offer at $33 compared to the $5 i bought at
that’s roughly a 654% increase in floor price, if i’m correct
although i’m not certain if the snapshot for zama OG NFT holders has already been taken, so i can’t say if it’s too late to get some

The Technology Behind Fungo
Did you know an NFT can reveal its artwork without revealing its underlying characteristics?
That’s one of the interesting things Fungo Labs is exploring.
@FungoLabs is building encrypted NFTs on Ethereum using Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE), powered by @zama
But what does this actually mean?
Ordinarily, information stored on a public blockchain can be inspected by anyone. This includes NFT traits, statistics and rarity rankings. Once these details are exposed, there is little room for genuine information privacy.
Fungo approaches this differently by introducing encryption into the NFT itself.
Every Fungo NFT has two layers:
>> The Look
This represents the NFT’s artwork. It is sealed when minted, but the holder can view it privately and decide whether to make it public.
>> The Essence
This contains the NFT’s underlying characteristics, including its class, four stats and element. These remain encrypted on-chain, even when the artwork is published.
Now, here’s where Zama comes in.
Fungo uses Zama’s Fully Homomorphic Encryption technology, which allows smart contracts to perform computations on encrypted information without decrypting it.
The interesting part?
Fungo isn’t simply making NFTs harder to inspect. It’s exploring how encrypted information can remain useful on a public blockchain.
