The BBC, in association with Agence France-Presse, the Associated Press, and Reuters, has launched a short film calling on the Israeli authorities to allow international journalists access to Gaza.

Still scarred by fighting an obstructive local authority all the way to tribunal (took years!) to get a fit for purpose EHCP.
I'd like to see accountability strengthened, not a "backstop"

Indefensible. Spending money on defending cases they can't win, so parents will give up, or they will delay provision to children in need.
We had this with @lpoolcouncil
We won & had a complaint upheld as their withholding therapy can never be undone.

The internet: "Holding space" for Defying Gravity.
Me: "But did you know it has an ambiguous tonal centre and the staccato articulations represent courage and defiance?"

Dear #postadoption social workers. The five page form you send in advance of the meeting to assess for support is Part Of The Problem.
If I wanted to write an essay, I would do an opinion piece for a national newspaper.
Going to the Manchester date tomorrow. Very excited it has to be said.

When your major achievement is getting an anxious kid to the station on time for a cinema trip, but you forget that Merseyrail cannot run to its own timetable.

Chancellor Rachel Reeves announces a 2.3% core schools budget increase, £300m for FE, and "to improve outcomes for our most vulnerable children and ensure the system is financially sustainable I am providing a £1 billion uplift in funding- a 6% real terms increase from this year"
Good to hear about money for #SEND in the budget.
The word "reform" makes me twitchy though. We need #accountability.
In my experience, we have a clear framework, but LA stick two fingers up at parents and say "you can't make us" then draw out lengthy, expensive tribunals.

I've met a lot of talented young devs, designers and creatives over the last few days.

Today I'm proud and hopeful as our younger child starts secondary at an excellent special school & our eldest starts sixth form mainstream, having done well in GCSEs.
Today they are an #adoption success story. The trauma the SEND system has piled on us really isn't.

Very excited to have tickets to see Nick Cave on tour in Manchester.
But now whenever I listen to NC on Spotify I get ads for divorce lawyers. I'd love to have a word with whoever did that ad targeting.
Wild God, the new album, is out now. Listen on @spotify and @spotifyUK.

This has been going on for ages. Looking for Sep 24 courses we had one college tell us a popular BTEC Diploma taught elsewhere was now withdrawn (wrongly!) Teachers at another honestly warned us off a T Level "harder than A Levels, impossible content"

School transport letter for Sept. Key points: we can't tell you what time it'll come so don't ask. Driver won't notify you when they arrive so you need to look out. After 3 mins they'll leave without telling you. @lpoolcouncil shitty comms at its finest. Is this their new motto?
