Let him run it through an AI checker. They mostly work on probability of words and they are very good at catching AI. My friend lost millions of dollars of deal to AI plagiarism.

Roughly 34% of Nigeria’s coastline is in the Lagos—Ogun—Ondo corridor. But yeah, na una get water
Na we for Niger Delta get water but na west dem dey carry ports go. I remember an idiot saying in Delta state becomes an APC state, the governor will use that as a opportunity to make our ports functional.

Ondo, Lagos and Ogun state coastline is just about 220km of the Atlantic while Bayelsa alone is 203km coastline with the Atlantic, if you add Delta and Rivers State to Bayelsa its almost 500km of the Atlantic so what are you on about?

While building an enterprise solution, how often would you recommend database backups should occur? Daily? Weekly? Or monthly? I’m asking because I’ve seen different approaches in actual enterprise environments. Years ago, I worked as a support technical staff for a very popular telecoms company, and their database backups were done daily. I also worked on something lowkey with another telecoms company under the premise of the company I was working with at the time, and their backups were done weekly. So I’m curious to hear from people who have worked with or designed enterprise-grade systems: what backup frequency do you typically recommend, and what determines that decision?

Regulations and policy dictates in some cases. Worked on an enterprise system for a compliance company in the US and its requirements is to back up daily and across at least two different regions.

Aptly stated. Imagine Belgians fighting the French over who invented French fries. And why it’s called French fries instead of Belgian fries. It’s shameful. This is the same thing that black Americans do with braids. Not knowing that it’s a Dutch invention. It’s really crazy.
The Chinese, Japanese and Koreans all use chopsticks. I have never seen a debate about who invented the chopsticks because it’s common sense that a people who have lived in close proximity for hundreds of years will eventually have cultures that overlap

This is not just belief. This is mental and ideological terrorism. It’s not different from boko-haram and other Islamic terror groups. It’s like you saying drug dealers should be allowed to sell their drugs freely because they are not forcing anyone to come and buy.

Some religion slave believed the nonsense coming out of this man’s mouth. You are a missionary country but over 50% of your country men are still Muslims, isn’t that foolishness. This thing just dey vex me. Not because he said it, but because some people believed it.
“People say the Chinese make engines while Nigerians pray. But what many don’t understand is that nations have callings. Nigeria’s calling is to send missionaries into the whole world.” — Apostle Arome Osayi

I will die on this hill. Not even apps like Chowdeck should be microservices. Monolith all the way. Argue with your CTO
Service-to-Service Failure You have two backend services: Service A: Order Service Service B: Payment Service When a user places an order, Service A creates the order and then calls Service B to process the payment. Question: What could happen if Service B successfully processes the payment, but the response never gets back to Service A because of a network failure? How would you design the system to handle this scenario without charging the customer twice?

Monolith is just enough for most startup. It is I too know that makes most company’s CTO go MS route.

This tweet accidentally explains one of the deepest problems with Nigerian education. We have confused early literacy with early intelligence. A 5 year old kid reading and writing before everyone isn’t impressive. Childhood development is not a race to finish the ABC. Those early years should be about building curiosity, creativity, problem-solving, communication and independent thinking. Let them build things. Draw nonsense. Play games. Solve puzzles. Ask annoying questions. Learn to disagree and explain why. Then reading, writing and maths become tools for a mind that has already started learning how to THINK. And Twitter is probably the funniest evidence of what happens when we get this backwards 😂 Every day you meet people here who can read and write beautifully. Big grammar sef. But comprehension? Omo. You write A. They read B. They argue passionately against C. Then 4,000 people retweet aggressively 😭 That is the tragedy. Literacy is not the same thing as education. Being able to read is useless if you were never taught how to think.
Canada 🇨🇦 thought my 5-year-old was special. Nigeria already prepared her. One of my girls was 5 when we landed in Canada. In Nigeria, she would already have been in Primary 1. She could read and write simple sentences. Her first months in a Canadian school shocked everyone. Not just because of her Nigerian accent. They were stunned she could actually read and write while her classmates were still learning letters and numbers. She started winning awards. They made her read to the whole class. As parents, we were not celebrating. We saw what was happening. They were slowing her down. Our biggest fear was that they would make her forget her maths. So we did what many Nigerian parents abroad eventually do: we got a teacher from Nigeria and added IXL. Thank God we did. Years later, she is still ahead. I still don’t understand why Canada waits until children are 5 before teaching letters and numbers. Nigeria 🇳🇬 starts earlier. That early foundation is not “too much.” It is an advantage. Do not let a slower system erase what your child already has. Bring the standard with you.

The only ideas public university administrators have for revenue generation are school fees, bakery and pure water factory. He no dey pass those three. Nothing like endowment funds, converting their vast lands to startup parks or leasing them to manufacturers who can engage students with internships. Bunch of stupid professors running Nigeria's educational system.
Ex-LASU VC: Public varsities must charge N1m tuition per student to sustain financial independence Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, immediate past vice-chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), says public universities across the country will have to charge N1 million tuition per student in order to sustain financial independence. Olatunji-Bello spoke in an interview with Punch, where she reflected on her five-year tenure in LASU, which ended on Saturday. thecable.ng/ex-lasu-vc-publi…

I know when a startup will not survive especially if the target market is Nigeria or Africa. Especially if I have seen people build similar things before. I told a founder something fundamental about Nigerians that will make his startup struggle, he wished it away. I understand for him because it’s his first time. You see those Nigerian first time founders with money, it’s after two years their eyes go clear…

Any B2C subscription based service company in Nigeria will struggle and most likely die. We don’t have the residual income to keep up, this is the reason Netflix, Amazon prime and other multinational giants have placed us on ice for now.

If you are a founder in Nigeria and you strongly believe you are solving a problem, ignore this advise. Founders that lived and built from Nigeria have raised funds more than founders that live outside Nigeria. In fact you are more likely to succeed if you build from Nigeria.
If you are developer in Nigeria still less than 30 years old. Build up your skills and set your eye on leaving the country earlier. Don’t get trapped by that “founder” thing. Nigeria isn’t America where you can get funded for an app that will eventually fail. Some things are easier to achieve at 30 than at 40.

The only thing I can see here is too much confidence and no logical sense at all. Such confidence can only come from thinking you are the smartest person in the room. To the boda wey post am too, it is well oo.
