This one is a tough read for Patterson. As it flips back in forth between "Walter" today compared to being a Detroit Cop FBI agent as he tries to solve a case thru the years and many jobs. It is a little over 500 pages with a mysterious "Amy". #readmoreamerica, #readreviewbymark
#PASenateDebate - Would they support eliminating the income tax on social security payout
#PASenateDebate - lets hear specifically about plans to improve PA lives. Not talkingpoints
A career oriented book. It leans towards women, however, it is good for men also. The book reads like a conversation with her. She talks about taking risk and how a women from Wyoming made it all the way to the White House and how to determine when to move on. A must read.
you get a two-fer. This details the plot prior to Lincoln getting to Washington DC for inauguration. It talks about Pinkerton and the use of women as undercover agents.
Great book. It details his life as a kid growing up in Canada. Talked about how he got into hosting shows, his work overseas, Jeopardy contestants and show in general as well as his views on life.
The book gives insite about the process & the number of people involved in confirming a justice. The summation at the end makes one think is it worth it to be on the court. It makes you think of the Senators you voted for & how they are a big disappointment with all their antics.
This book gives insite about the author growing up, gap year, and life being in the lime light of politics. The best quote is "Now you will find who your friends are" makes you think about your own lives and people you have met along the way, #readmoreamerica #readreviewbymark
This is about an ex-cop who purchased an inn at the shore with full time residents who have nothing in common but work together to fend off a drug lord. #readmoreamerica #readreviewbymark
It is about the "OLD Guard" which dates back to the revolutionary war. Their missions are now cermonial including gurading the Tomb of the unknowns, funerals at Arlington, and other events. It is well written and detailed of a life of a soldier #readmoreamerica #readreviewbymark
This book is great forcivil war buffs or add to your history knowledge not taught in school, like inventions ie ballons used to observe troops, how the civil war could have been over before Gettysburg, how important women and former slaves were to the North in the war effort
If you like to learn US history, this is a good book to read. It is about 8 vice presidents that became president because their predecessor died in office. It is not like anything learned in high school. #readmoreamerica #readreviewbymark
Finished Patterson books which contain 3 short stories a piece. The endings are happy-sad-surprise and about 150 pages per. Murder in Paradise, Lawyer Lifeguard, The Shut-in is in one and The house next-door, The Killer's wife, and We are not alone is in the other. fun reads
Did you ever wonder why Andrew Jackson is on the $20.00 bill. This book will help you understand the man and how he was able to get various people Indians, militia, regular army to defend New Orleans. #readmoreamerica #readreviewbymark
I recently visited Andrew Jackson's Hermitage outside Nashville. It was a good visit as (take the carriage ride) they re-enacted duels and horse race (with a saw horse) to demonstrate how bedding was done. Not as Good as Jefferson or Washington's home, but getting there.
Nice story about two retired secret service who stumble across a government cover up of an operation overseas. great drama and quick read. #readmoreamerica #readreviewbymark
I finished LET ME FINISH. It talks about Christe's start in politics and issues faced as governor. the most interesting was his time with Trump and running transition team and why there were issues with Kushner and Bannon. It is a quick read. #readmoreamerica #readreviewbymark
