You’re coming to America on scholarship and you’re taking advice from hustlers who’ve been abroad 10 to 20 years?Your future is way brighter and way ahead of them.Don’t worry.Just study like your head isn’t there,do internship every summer and stop being fixated on “your papers”.
If you allow yourself, your entire life will be used for cultural, geographic, political and religious statistics.
If you were born in another country your religion, political opinion and or citizenship would have been a different one you don’t currently support.
The more knowledge becomes accessible, the less people take advantage of it, the easier it is to make a little effort to stand out by reading max two hours a day or two hours every other day. The compounding effect is immeasurable
If your identity is influenced by religion, I have nothing mutually in common with you and the most interaction we would ever have is occasionally exchange of pleasantries. I don’t care how I relate to you. No tolerance for adults who pass on useless religious indoctrination.
Dear Ghana 🇬🇭 students, you don’t book an appointment with me. You don’t have ask me for a time to connect . You rather give me a time you’re available and I’ll show up. You’re more important than burdening yourself with “yes please, yes please” mentality. Be bold , be driven.
The waitress you’re ordering water and salad from is a medical doctor and a newly arrived immigrant. The taxi driver is a lawyer in his home country. The janitor greeting good morning everyday is a certified professional accountant. They’re patiently waiting for an opportunity.
I am an American 🇺🇸and that’s a fact!
Whenever we are bored we will go to Europe, fly within the continent and come back to the greatest place to be with 50 states of opportunists such that if you want to spend just a year in each of the states, you will need to spend 50 years !!
The mental calculus a dancer does to stay in sync with choreography formation is more of an engineering by itself. Why professional dancers charge so much !
Doesn’t matter what your major is. Whatever you study add a computer science minor. Next 10 years you’d verify this post.
Nuclear is booming , energy is booming, tech is booming, quantitative is booming and you’re going to HBCU to study fabric merchandising for 4 years with student loans just so you can be around “your people”. Then years later you think the system is set up against you ?
If I could give you at least $150,000 in the form of just 3 links:
1. The Odin Project: theodinproject.com
2. Teach Yourself CS: teachyourselfcs.com
3. UC Berkeley Python Computational programming: pythonnumericalmethods.stude…
Focus on one, skim-read the other two along
Not sure what to major in?
Study nuclear engineering and computer science.Come back next few years to appreciate this post. The USA 🇺🇸 is going to need as many as possible
3 Possibilities:
Nuclear + CS double major
Nuclear major + CS minor
CS major + nuclear engineering minor
