🚨BREAKING SCANDAL: Hurricane victims were still waiting for their homes — while Roy Cooper spent tens of millions on affordable-housing projects. 🧨 $100 MILLION: The NY Post, citing a John Locke Foundation analysis, reports $100M in disaster-recovery funding went toward affordable-housing projects - not hurricane victims. 🏚️ 1,000+ FAMILIES: In February 2025, WHQR reported 500+ families were still waiting for work to START — while roughly another 500 were living in temporary housing waiting for construction to finish. 💸 $297 MILLION SHORTFALL: The NC State Auditor later found NCORR committed more money than it had available, requiring emergency state appropriations and prolonging hardship for disaster victims. North Carolinians deserve an answer to the obvious question: How were storm victims left waiting for YEARS while Roy Cooper was burning through NC’s relief budget? #ncpol

OMG "Independent" candidate for U.S. Senate in Nebraska Dan Osborn, was just caught on undercover video admitting to TRICKING voters about his views "I can go and I can be the voice for LGBTQ and immigration... Then I lose the election... At the end of the day, I’m gonna win this election. And then I’ll be the Senator for six years and everybody else can F-off.” Nebraska, don't believe a thing this he says. He wants to deceive you and push gender ideology if he wins!

This is absolutely DISGUSTING.  James Talarico said parents who don’t transition their kids are “abusive” and thinks they should have their kids taken from them.

🚨#BREAKING: The labor & delivery NURSE who said it gave her "great joy" to wish pregnant Karoline Leavitt a 4th degree tear... "I hope you fcking rip from bow to stern and never sht normally again, c*nt." ...was just RECOMMENDED by a judge to get to KEEP HER NURSING LICENSE AND ONLY GET A $250 FINE!!!!!! Yes, you read that right. Her name is Lexie Lawler, she delivered babies for a living at Baptist Health in Boca Raton. In January, she created a TikTok video, introduced herself as a labor and delivery nurse, and said this about then-pregnant Karoline Leavitt: "As a labor and delivery nurse, it gives me great joy to wish Karoline Leavitt a fourth-degree tear." She said she hoped Leavitt would "rip from bow to stern" and never function normally again. The judge said she already "learned from this experience" because she lost her job. So every expecting mother in Florida is left to wonder: if she wished that on ONE pregnant woman because she disagreed with her... what is she thinking when she's standing over ME?!!!! That judge only made a RECOMMENDATION, thankfully he does not have the final word. The Florida Board of Nursing does and they can throw his recommendation in the trash and pull her license for good. Take. Her. License.

I am proud to announce alongside many of our task force members that we are going to suspend 870,000 people who defrauded the government from ever being able to apply for these loans again. It’s simple, if you screwed the American taxpayer, the federal government is going to cut you off from applying for benefits and if you try — you will be DENIED!

I first met Charlie Kirk more than ten years ago. At that time, he was very young, and possessed an evangelical naivety that was relatively foreign to a Canadian. He was truly and somewhat amusingly shocked, for example, at the pervasive smell of marijuana on the streets of Toronto. It was obvious, however—despite that sheltered mien—that Charlie was someone deeply and singularly committed to a unique mission, and that he would be driven to learn everything necessary to its success. I met him in person another dozen times after that, and was asked to speak at a number of Turning Point events. I enjoyed the events. It was a very good thing to see thousands of enthusiastic young people trying to make things better in their somehow endearing conservative American way. It was also fascinating to watch Charlie develop in sophistication over the years. The bravery he showed in presenting a truly conservative viewpoint on university campuses was part of that development, as was the ferocious skill he developed at debating contentious issues, under trying conditions, for years. My wife, Tammy, and I met his lovely wife Erika with him on several private dinners. They made a truly admirable and mutually respectful couple. We had plans to make such meetings a regular occurrence—but life, and death, got in the way. I was not informed about Charlie's murder for several months after it occurred, in consequence of my recent illness. It came as a terrible shock. It is also truly awful to see what a spectacle has been made of his demise by pathological actors across the political spectrum. He was a solid, decent, hard-working, truthful, brave person. We are all—right and left alike—lesser without him. On the right: because he was an example and a leader. On the left: because he would willingly talk across the aisle, and in good faith. There will come a day—and too soon, I am afraid—when even those who vilify his memory will long for the days when people such as Charlie existed, and made such civilized talk a priority. I had the privilege to sit down with Charlie and talk with him about his life and the world not so many months before that was no longer possible: youtu.be/dP0TagcNvCg?si=F1fW… RIP Mr. Kirk. I write that in true sorrow.

Charlie was a beloved friend, an unflinching ally, and an indispensable warrior for America. He was murdered not only by an evil assassin but an entire ecosystem of far-left extremism that normalizes, justifies and glorifies violence against its political opponents. The success of America depends upon the dismantlement of these violent networks. As we grieve an unimaginable loss, we pledge ourselves to accelerate the work for which Charlie gave his very life. No one can remain on the sidelines when the stakes are so vast.

Charlie Kirk changed my life. I wasn’t a fan. It’s not that I didn’t like him. I just didn’t sit down and watch his content. I wasn’t a follower. But somehow, he became my turning point anyway… When I stepped into the content creation arena, I knew conservative content creators don’t get the same deal as democrats. Conservatives are either full-time political commentators, or keep their mouth shut. Brand deals disappear. Tourism boards stop calling. Doors close the second people realize you won’t stomp for the left. You’re expected to pick a lane, and once you do, you’re shackled to it. I understood that when I started Where the Dogwood Blooms. I chose North Carolina — the land, the history, the people, the stories — because that is what I love and want to preserve. I didn’t have the luxury my democrat counterparts had. Creating content and supporting causes I believed in wasn’t an option for me. So I stayed silent. Then Charlie Kirk was assassinated. A man who believed open debate was how you challenge ideas was murdered on a college campus while doing exactly that. That moment hit hard. Watching it happen changed the way I viewed my place in the world. I had spent years worrying about what might happen if I said what I actually thought. I worried about losing opportunities. I worried about the doors that might close. Then I watched a man die for standing in a public place and arguing for what he believed. My first act of defiance was buying a Freedom shirt. That shirt got me verbally attacked in the most unlikely place imaginable: Western North Carolina. My own home turf. Then it clicked: Silence is dangerous. It teaches one side of the country to feel entitled to their own voice while denying the right of the other to speak out. That’s how you end up watching a man get killed for talking and then getting berated yourself for wearing a shirt that says you noticed. In that moment, my shackles came off. I spoke out. And my voice was heard around the world. Charlie did that. He didn’t know me. But he freed me. He gave me a voice. May he rest in peace.

…there is no linear blueprint for grief. One day you’re collapsed on the floor crying out the name Jesus in between labored breaths. The next you’re playing with your children in the living room, surrounded by family photos, and feeling a rush of something you can only attempt to define as divinely planted and bittersweet joy as a smile breaks through on your face. They say time heals. But love doesn’t ask to be healed. Love asks to be remembered. It’s humbling to realize that this magnitude of suffering didn’t steal my love for my husband. It amplified it. It crystallized it. I carry my Charlie in every breath, in every ache, and in every quiet act of day to day living as I attempt to relearn what that rhythm will be. And what I’ve realized through these past 30 days is the greater the suffering, the purer the love. And I have never loved him more than I do now.

Charlie Kirk had a unique gift for articulating the good — the goodness of family, faith, and America. One year ago today, he was killed for it. We’ll honor his legacy by building great things and holding to account the enemies of civilization.
