Stephanie Lemmerman most recently served as Chief Financial Officer of Kraken (Payward), where she led global finance, capital markets, and strategic initiatives, including a confidential S-1 filing, an $800 million capital raise at a $20 billion valuation, key partnerships, and multiple M&A transactions. Stephanie currently serves on the Board of Directors for Dapper Labs, a digital asset pioneer. She has a strong track record scaling high-growth technology companies, having previously served as CFO of Dapper Labs and ReCharge Payments, and held leadership roles at Activision Blizzard and Headspace. She began her career at Deloitte and currently serves as Treasurer of the Killebrew Thompson Memorial, reflecting her commitment to philanthropy and cancer research.

Saying that crypto has an absence of young people is both agist and short sighted. Firstly, crypto like any technology benefits from a balance of youthful energy and ideation as well as age-earned experience and acumen. Secondly, the claim that crypto lacks young people is categorically untrue. Having hosted various crypto/creator events, I can say with certainty that there are many talented young people eager to contribute to the space. The reason why they may appear invisible is because we, many times, do a poor job of engaging them with narratives that are meaningful to them. Let’s spend more time crafting narratives and building for them rather than making deluded statements for virality’s sake.
