🚀 Excited to announce that we are teaming up with @os4science to fund the software stack behind open source science! 🚀
Open science models do not run without open source software, but they rarely get the funding or credit they deserve.
We're trying to change that 🤗🤗🤗
We're joining forces with @huggingface to identify the software libraries that scientific model contributors rely on most and explore opportunities to support the maintainers behind them. os4science.org/news/hugging-…
Our inaugural call, Open Source for the Life Sciences, drew hundreds of proposals spanning a wide range of biology disciplines and computational approaches. If you use agents or AI models as a scientist, open source software is what makes it possible.
Thank you to the hundreds of teams who submitted letters of intent to our inaugural Open Source for the Life Sciences call. We are energized and inspired by this response. Notifications and invitations to submit full applications are now out. 1/2
If your proposal wasn't selected to advance, we hope to consider it for future funding opportunities.
