This lady ate a surface-to-air missile, sustained a 12-14 G rocket-propelled ejection, likely hit the ground at 15+ miles per hour…
And then she popped up smiling at the locals who came to help her.

"A peer adversary doesn’t have to beat our pilots. They just have to keep them on the ground by cratering runways and annihilating fuel farms. No tankers? No runway? No problem. X-BAT doesn’t need them."

Another year, another failed class of surface vessels by the Navy.
U.S. Secretary of the Navy John Phelan has announced that the Navy will be scrapping the Constellation-class frigate program in order to focus on new classes of warships the service can build faster, in preparation for a potential conflict in the near future with China. The Wisconsin-based shipbuilder Fincantieri Marinette Marine will continue construction on the first two ships of the Constellation-class; the USS Constellation (FFG-62) and USS Congress (FFG-63), while the remaining six ships; USS Chesapeake (FFG-64), USS Lafayette (FFG-65), USS Hamilton (FFG-66), USS Galvez (FFG-67), USS Everett Alvarez Jr. (FFG-68), and USS Joy Bright Hancock (FFG-69), have been officially canceled by the Navy.
