I think it's ill-advised and anti-democratic to introduce an omnibus bill, cite a crisis, and rush major changes to labour and environmental law.
It's going to provoke aggressive resistance and risks, ironically, slowing down the projects the government is so keen on.

Former Danish MP: "We have never, ever turned down any requests from the Americans in Greenland. The door has been wide open always. So there was no need to be that aggressive as the American president was, where we had a need to actually move troops to Greenland in order to be ready to defend it."

Carla, stop lying! Greenland’s natural resources do not belong to the United States — and they never have. The new agreement is about security cooperation, not handing Greenland or its resources over to the United States!

This is truly a great man. He has invested more in Ukraine than 185 countries combined.
Meet Howard Buffett, Warren Buffett’s middle son. He is 71 years old. He dropped out of college three times. He drinks Dr Pepper and looks for a McDonald’s wherever he travels.
Since the beginning of the war, his foundation has become the largest private donor to Ukraine: $1.4 billion.
Over four years, he has personally visited Ukraine 27 times.
In April 2022, he saw burned-out agricultural machinery and called the president of John Deere:
“How many combines are available in Europe?”
“Fifteen. All of them were supposed to go to Russia.”
“I’ll take them all.”
Then came all the available New Holland equipment in Europe. Altogether, more than 100 tractors and combines were provided to Ukrainian farmers.
He even tested demining equipment himself - on his own farm in Illinois, detonating explosives beneath rollers. When a Ukrainian deputy minister expressed doubts, Buffett told him:
“Stop counting my tractors. If necessary, I’ll blow up a thousand of them.”
Andriy Stavnitser initially asked him for $1 million for Superhumans. Buffett asked how much was needed to build the entire center.
“$14 million.”
“Okay. And what do you expect in return?”
“Nothing. Build it.”
Today, his support for Superhumans has reached $77 million, and the center has treated more than 1,700 patients.
But his largest area of spending is neither agricultural machinery nor prosthetics.
It is food: 642 million meals.
And that is only part of it:
* 344,000 windows replaced after Russian attacks;
* 9 bridges, 4 power plants, 2,500 generators, and 18 DNA laboratories;
* Much of Bucha rebuilt with his funding.
“I already have more friends in Ukraine than I do at home,” he says.
He celebrates birthdays in Ukraine, comes for Christmas, and even has a Ukrainian godson.
Friends, this is truly a great man - someone who understands that he cannot take all his money with him when he leaves this world.
I simply want to thank him and wish him well.
Whatever else one may say, this is real help from a person who had no personal obligation to Ukraine.
He simply chose to help.

📈 We cut Manitoba’s deficit in half and now on a clear path to balance the books next year. ⚖️
Despite Trump’s threats and global economic instability, we’re adding jobs {humble brag: we have the lowest unemployment in 🇨🇦} AND growing our economy to make life more affordable.
Turns out little ol’ Manitoba is a lot stronger than any bully saw coming. 🦬

So the Premier of Ontario @fordnation (allegedly) has had journalists fired for holding him accountable and asking tough questions, has changed laws to prevent govt documents going into the public domain, does not invite media to his announcements. Does this sound like Trump?

Sept. 20, 2026 (Facebook):
I’m on my way to New York.
It has been a difficult time for many people back home, and I know there has been both concern and fear about what might happen to our country. I have taken those concerns very seriously.
As I make my way across the Atlantic, I’m thinking of all of you back home — the families, the children, the young and the elderly. Everyone who has been following developments and worrying about what the future might bring. ❤️
I hope we can now bring more calm and reassurance around our country. We must take good care of Greenland, stand together around what matters most, and remain firm that we must always be treated with respect.
That is the responsibility I carry with me to New York.
Greenland is our home. And together, we will protect it. 🇬🇱

Trump Won Nothing on Greenland: This Is All Posturing for His Base:
As a Canadian watching from next door, I see right through Trump’s latest announcement in the last 30 minutes.
He is SO desperate to frame this new Greenland security agreement as a massive historic triumph, but the reality is simple: Denmark and Greenland gave up absolutely nothing.
- This is a soft deal wrapped in rhetoric, specifically designed to look like a win for his base.
The truth is that the United States already has a long-standing military presence in Greenland, including Pituffik Space Base. This "new" agreement mostly reiterates arrangements that previous governments put in place long before Trump ever took office.
He is COMPLETELY posturing because his administration is failing, and he is terrified of what would actually happen if the U.S. tried to assert real, uninvited military control there.
To Canadians, Greenlanders, and citizens around the world: do not worry....
- This is just empty bluster.
Greenland is not a part of the United States and never will be, and its sovereignty remains intact.
No amount of social media boasting can change that fact.
We must all step back, ignore the pathetic loser, and recognize this announcement for exactly what it is—meaningless political theater from a failure who thinks he's an actual president.... when in actuality, he's a nothing.
The world stands with Greenland.

A tale of two "deals" . What Trump says. What Greenland and Denmark say and the world in between.
Is the deal done?
🇺🇸Trump : deal done
🇩🇰DK/🇬🇱GL: unsigned. Signature expected next week at the UN. Then parliaments.
What it is ?
🇺🇸Trump : permanent control of security “and all other needs”
🇩🇰DK/🇬🇱GL: a pact to strengthen Arctic and North Atlantic security
Sovereignty
🇺🇸Trump : word annexation dropped, but “forever” language kept
🇩🇰DK/🇬🇱GL: Kingdom sovereignty, territorial integrity, Greenlandic self-determination, all assured, and written into their statement
Bases / China-Russia veto / “no cost to the US”
🇺🇸Trump : yes
🇩🇰DK/🇬🇱GL : no mention
So.... unless Denmark and Greenland are hiding what is in the fine print, these look like two different deals.
And Trump, as he did with Canada, jumped the gun and called the deal...a done deal... Nothing is signed, and it has to pass the test of parliaments in Greenland and Denmark.
Also- don't tell Trump- so far, it looks a lot like what they already have, just updated... Den
What do you think ? Is the deal closer to Trump's version or ..not ?
