😳 that 5th chemo round was fucking bonkers
i got severe full body hives on day 5 and ended up on meds for 3 days to stop them …
they had to cancel my last chemo round so …
I AM FUCKING DONE CHEMO
MRI tomorrow (hope it’s good) and then node surgery planning in a few weeks
holy fuck as if 3 weeks went by already, this week is chemo round 5/6
i was on my ass for 2 days after the last round, couldn't get out of bed, so my dose tomorrow is reduced in hopes that i don't crash too badly.
it's terrifying tho, like what if i am bedridden for a whole week or two? 😳 i know, dying from cancer is worse and i will hate myself later if i end up in that situation and i don't try now
apparently i am responding very well to chemo and my nodes shrunk so hopefully there are no microscopic cancer cells left over when i get them removed and tested after chemo is done 🤞
my muscles in my legs are so fucked, i can't climb, i can hardly walk up the stairs because of how sore they feel, i try and walk everyday anyway because i know it's good to stay active and touch grass
while I am nervous of this 5th round, i am also excited to get it over with and get closer to the finish line.
after chemo is done, i have node surgery. this is the key step! they view them under the microscope and we will find out if all of the cancer is gone.
if it's not, i will need more surgery, radiation and chemo
if it's gone, i will need radiation and immunotherapy (not as toxic as chemo)
