The combination of heavy rainfall and high tides ALWAYS causes flooding as no drainage can cope with that scenario.
Largs would need flattened and redesigned to cope with the weather.

I have visited Largs may times at different times over many years and although itโs prone to flooding with the high tides and extreme rainfall from a severe storm.. some local shopkeepers donโt remove sandbags from their doors.
We all knew storms were coming.

Largs streets close to the river and seafront floods with the combination of severe storms and high tides.
The drainage system cannot cope with this volume of water at one time.. there is nowhere for it to go.
Thatโs why many towns and villages flood.
