Oh! Mr Porter, what shall I do?
I want to go to Liverpool
And they're taking me on to Crewe,
Take me back to London, as quickly as you can,
Oh! Mr Porter, what silly girl I am.
Celebrity Traitors 2 was frankly, dire. Possibly worst UK series yet. Poor casting, daft games, obvious murders & predictable banishments. Too much making friends, not enough playing game. Fewer comedians, more sportspeople next time. I love The Traitors. Please make it great 👍
40 years ago I met my best friend. Someone who has been there for me through thick and thin.
He introduced me to @Arsenal, Laurie Anderson @onlyanexpert and Angela Carter. Three introductions that rather changed my life. Thank you Paul. ❤️
Hay Fever @WyndhamsTheatre. @christinebaranski shines, @richard.e.grant joins posh people behaving badly. Tepid, pedestrian, but Act Two perks up. Baranski saves the weekend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ #HayFever
The Barbican Conservatory is closing for a refurb. So all the plants are being given away for ‘adoption’.
The final Barbican plant adoption ballot opens tomorrow. If successful, the date to adopt a plant is 2nd Dec.

Chiswick, Teddington and Richmond today. As mild as we could wish for. Indeed ‘twas a lovely all-Hallown summer after o’noon.
Be yourself. Everyone else is taken.
The people who mind don’t matter.
The people who matter don’t mind.
Yesterday I split. At Split. Off the ship, onto a plane, home. Cruising isn’t for me. Stuart warned me. He was right.
A row with a drunk passenger at quiz night was the final straw. My family sail on. I’ll make more memories with them soon. Just not on a boat with Saga louts!
A Safe Harbour…
Arrived Brindisi, always was rather modest port southern Italy. Historically, jumping-off point to & from Mediterranean & Orient from Rome & N. & W. Europe. Today’s it’s still unremarkable port. Serves as starting point for Adriatic Sea though. Next stop Split.
All At Sea…
A day & night cruising from Malta to Brindisi gave us time to explore ship, have swim, & get dolled up for captain’s cocktail party.
Formal dinner (my godmother Carol’s 90th), show (Chess Taylor anyone?), & quiz night (with some dodgy fact checking by quizmaster!)
10 day family cruise from Malta for Myrtle’s 90th. I hate cruises, but family duty calls. After fogbound Gatwick, an onboard medical emergency & EasyJet Saga louts, we finally sailed. Nice cabin, good food, + wine. Then choppy seas turned flying cupboard doors into ghost ship ⚓️
As we are at sea, there’s obviously no mobile data. But they do have (rather pricey) Internet access on board.
Sadly it won’t let me buy any Arsenal tickets as Arsenal ticket hub is rejecting connections from the ocean! 🌊 It must think I’m a pirate! 🏴☠️🤣 Shiver m’Timber! #COYG
Friday night Stuart & I saw Danny Lee Wynter’s sharp, witty queer family drama Ilford Boy at the @DonmarWarehouse in London’s glitzy Seven Dials. Craig Stein, Lindsey Coulson, Cary Crankson and Gershwyn Eustache Jnr shine amid the Essex chaos. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Triumph @almeida_theatre…
Yesterday afternoon Darce & I went to see Triumph @ Almeida in London’s glitzy Islington. Caryl Churchill’s 15 minute satire of power, with Matthew Beard & Kate O’Flynn, proves Rome never really fell.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Some Woman…
Last Friday Stuart and I saw Anne-Marie Duff excel at the glitzy South Bank’s Dorfman Theatre. Everyday misogyny, a legal system trusting an 11 year old boy over a woman, and toxic masculinity in plain sight. Chilling. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
