Nashville is my hometown. It comforts me. My family is there. I grew up there. I went to college there. It is the most diverse part of TN. My dad taught at Fisk University. My mom was the longtime shop owner of an Indian variety store. This is upsetting. nytimes.com/2022/01/31/opini…

We have witnessed two systems of justice: one that let extremists storm the U.S. Capitol yesterday, and another that released tear gas on peaceful protestors last summer. It’s simply unacceptable.

If you want to play piano, but you’re bad at playing piano, you practice and you get better. Don’t be the kind of white person who doesn’t post out of fear of fucking up. If you want to support black people, but you’re bad at supporting black people, practice and get better.

Musicians in The Netherlands and elsewhere: keep an eye out for a yellow Dave Smith Instruments Mopho keyboard (belonging to @joshdion) that was stolen on/off a train between Den Haag & Assen. Any help spreading the word is obviously appreciated. @dsiSequential
