Anyone else experiencing agentic coding where the agent repeatedly pretends to do the work in a spec, lies about the outcome and only admits it was wrong when scutinized? Seeing this a lot lately for one of my mostly vibe-coded projects. Not sure if this is an Opus-specific problem or more general.

Honestly I get the proposal but it makes the economics of operating something novel and complex onchain start to really hurt.
At a high level the PMM we’ve built is extremely computationally intense in a few areas of the code and it’s already hard to make it work onchain.
I’ll be the first to admit there is a lot of optimization work we could do but we have limited resources and time and the reality is if the unit economics of operating it all fully onchain and the engineering cost of the optimization start to not make sense.
We have instead just actively architected the codebase to not assume it will operate onchain. All of our logic is in portable crates so that if need be we can migrate the bulk of the logic offchain in a few weeks of dev time. We are building that optionally because these types of proposals force us to keep all options open.
Eventually it becomes easier to just build all the logic off chain and only use Solana for escrowing funds.
As a former protocol engineer I get why SIMD003 is good for the network in theory, but as an app developer now I’m not sure I support it.

$VVV is good, but there's no real argument for crypto bros to support an equity + token model in 2026. ABSOLUTELY ZERO,
Equity holders get legal protections and actual ownership. Token holders get "trust us, we'll do buybacks" buybacks that don't even offset 10% of token emissions.
I'm a simple man.
You have 3 million VVV from emissions (it was 5 million VVV in June), which is around $45 million at the current VVV price, while the burn rate is only $2.8 million.
$45 million in emissions per year vs. $2.8 million burn rate per year. 🧐
Now they've raised equity, and that's going to dilute the burn even further. The whole $VVV thesis was that higher revenue would flow back into the token and offset emissions...

As for how any of this changes Venice’s token plans, it doesn’t. We build a product, grow revenue, take a portion of revenue to buy and burn tokens, and reduce emissions. Our incentive to do this is that we hold more VVV than anyone.
Why do no major crypto wallets support yubikeys as a hardware wallet? Yubikeys have been able to create GPG keys on the secp256k1 (EVM) and Ed25519 (Solana) curves since 2019.
Turns out such a thing does exist @lazorkit @seedless_wallet looks like I could use a yubikey or passkey as my wallet. No seedphrases

I was thinking about this yesterday. Children who haven’t been able to really formulate a thought are being killed. Children who haven’t been able to do anything good or bad are being killed. And the people who do it are feeling justified and smug about it.
Sensible defaults. I wish all tools I used understood the importance of sensible defaults

A year or two later, a friend showed me their Express app and I was confused. You had to configure the body parser? How do you send email? What about templates (this was before react)? What about background jobs?
Too many decisions to make when you just want to ship software.

The DNC is the only reason you're not currently enjoying a second-term Sanders and a sane Supreme Court.
As a dev who wants to build secure apps, it's aggravating how the new web 2 passkey standard & web 3 hardware wallets use device-only private keys for signatures, but neither offer encryption! We made infra that enables a secure web but forgot to create an API for it!
This. Many L2s are actually, quite literally, a scam. That's not what Toly is saying, but I think it's the right conclusion

Solana has had years and years of centralization fud because the hardware is expensive, when the alternative is literally honest majority multisigs. The former has always been communicated front and center, while the latter is obfuscated through layers of marketing.
The monolith pattern isn't inherently bad, it's just very hard to get right so most organizations are better going with microservices. The only reasonably good implementation of a monolith I've ever seen is the Solana blockchain.
AI can and should be used as a democratizing force. Imagine a communist AI planning portions of the economy and having its alignment programmed via on chain direct democracy

hating crypto is such a bizarre personality trait
you hate the fact that many computers around the world can agree on a piece of state without requiring an intermediary?
Wtf are you even hating at that point? Math? Do you have a hard on for things requiring single servers?
Ok
If diffusion of responsibility is humanity's greatest flaw, nirvana fallacy has got to be a close second.

solana: evm is single threaded, we've built a parallelized vm — it is much more efficient
