Denkt doch mal an die Kuba-Krise 1962 Was erzählt man uns ?

The CO2 absorption spectra is largely saturated at low levels of CO2. Knut Angstrom figured out 125 years ago that additional increases in CO2 had minimal impact.
I helped develop the GPU enhanced radiative transfer models for the National Center for Atmospheric Research, so I might know a little bit about it. 😉

El Hierro is the dramatic falsification of the 100% renewable myth. Stop wasting hard earned tax payer monies into the ditch hoping for dreams that are just dogmas. Large scale wind turbines, especially offshore, are not a rational solution. Nuclear reactors & dense energy are.
Have policymakers in the EU, the UK and US states never heard of El Hierro? A small island with 11,000 residents and plenty of wind. An ideal testing ground for the promise of 100% renewable electricity, before making millions of people depend on it. They installed wind turbines with more than twice the island’s average electricity demand in capacity, plus pumped hydro storage. Yet in 2025, this system supplied just 44% of its electricity. Diesel supplied the rest. @mhtncontrarian explains why: during prolonged periods of low wind, the upper reservoir empties. Then the diesel generators have to take over. If this setup cannot deliver on its promise on a small, windy island, why are politicians so confident it will work on a vastly larger scale? They keep pushing ahead, with millions of people’s electricity supply at stake.

Across the rich world, nearly a quarter of all development aid now goes to climate projects. The core problem is opportunity cost. Every dollar subsidizing solar panels or carbon accounting is a dollar not spent on schools, maternal health or clean water. financialpost.com/opinion/op…

Milton Friedman on how “social justice” destroys a society: “If I have a philosophy that everything belongs to society—if something happens to me, that’s not my fault, that’s because society did it to me—then the whole concept of property loses its role.” “Why shouldn’t I steal? Why shouldn’t I destroy property? After all, it’s nobody’s. It belongs to everybody, so it belongs to nobody.” “Moreover, if I happened to be in a lower-income group, or a deprived social group, or a discriminated-against racial group, that’s the malevolence of other people. It’s not my fault, and I have every right to get back at them.”

The greatest expansion of life on earth occurred 530 million years ago, with temperatures and atmospheric CO2 levels much higher than now. Climate alarmism has nothing to do with science.

Correct. Using Starlink, a civilian commercial service, for offensive drone strikes to kill people has never been allowed, nor should it be. Starshield, a different system, is controlled by the US government. What they decide to do is up to them. Ukraine military violated Starlink terms of service and used it for offensive drone strikes to kill people. That loophole was closed last week. Starlink remains critical to the defense of Ukraine, as it is the only system that cannot be jammed or blown up, at least for now. Were Starlink to be turned off, the Ukrainian front line would collapse immediately. This is NOT a threat, it is simply a statement of fact. Starlink was also crucial to preventing Russia from overrunning Ukraine in the early days of the war, as all other means of communication were destroyed or jammed by Russia. SpaceX has done more to defend Ukraine than any private company on Earth BY FAR. That said, I have nothing but UTTER CONTEMPT for the virtue-signaling evil warmongers who push for endless slaughter and offer no realistic solution to the conflict. May you burn in hell. End of story.
STARLINK WORKS THE SAME WAY ITS ALWAYS WORKED. ITS NOT A WEAPONS SYSTEM, NO MATTER HOW MUCH UKRAINE WANTS IT TO BE.

What’s actually going on in Ukraine is that there is a massive incentive difference between the elites and the people. The former have grown very rich off the hundreds of billions flowing to Ukraine, while the latter’s children are conscripted to die in trenches.

It’s weird how the “global price” of gas is lower in countries that drill for it.
CHART OF THE DAY: The price of natural gas in the US 🇺🇸 and Europe 🇪🇺. Now, imagine running a gas-intensive company (say, a fertilizer plant) in either region. Europe >$30; US <$3
