La cosplayer Clara Tan, conocida por personificar a Super Creek en "Uma Musume: Pretty Derby", terminó en el hospital con una fractura tras ser tacleada y arrestada por agentes de ICE en el aeropuerto de Rochester, cuando regresaba de una reunión de fanáticos en California.
Según denunció la artista, cuatro oficiales la abordaron de madrugada y la derribaron al suelo antes de enseñarle una orden de arresto, provocándole una lesión grave en el pie mientras la esposaban. Tan fue trasladada a un centro de detención en Nueva York bajo acusaciones de irregularidades migratorias, las cuales desmintió al conservar sus registros de ingreso legal y su título universitario.
Tras evaluar la falta de instalaciones para mujeres en el recinto y revisar su caso, las autoridades la liberaron con un grillete electrónico para que pudiera trasladarse de urgencia a un hospital a tratar su fractura.
