RubyGems and Bundler 4.1.0.beta3 are out. I changed override a bit. The keys are now in: and with:, and Gemfile.lock records overrides in a new OVERRIDES section. The final release is coming soon, so please try it before then.

Well, it happened. Unfortunately I've been affected by layoffs. 😢
In total shock, but will be looking for a role soon.

Just released Prism 2.0.0.rc1. If you use Prism through any language bindings, please test it out on your applications, this is a pretty massive changeset.

Welp... Got laid off from Podia today. Kinda a lot to process for a Thursday. I'll have something more coherent to say eventually. For now, send Ruby/Rails leads. Or dog pictures.... Both are good.

The best security work is often invisible: the incident prevented, the poisoned package caught, the deploy that keeps moving.
Shopify's 4-year, $1M partnership with Ruby Central on Ruby Shield showed what sustained investment in shared infrastructure can unlock. Now we’re carrying that work forward with the Ruby Alliance.
RubyGems.org now handles tens of billions of gem downloads a year with modern auth, verifiable publishing, and 24/7 coverage.
Thanks to Ruby Shield, our 4-year security partnership with Shopify. Here's our reflection as it wraps up: buff.ly/YwpC9qK

My team is working on bringing @rails into the Ractor-age. Here Edouard shares how we used one of the references applications to prove that it is possible and what could be impacts on latency and memory.

Having built developer tools for half my career (literally!), I decided to build something "useless" this time.
Today I'm announcing RubyLens, a gem that turns your Ruby codebase into a galaxy, as either a page or a video!
Here's an example using Discourse (cc @samsaffron).

it’s in gemini, just create it in ai studio. oh, that’s for your personal google one account. for workspace you need gemini business. no, not gemini advanced, that’s ai pro now. unless you need ai ultra. oh agents? you do that in spark actually. no, not gemini api managed agents, that’s different. for coding use jules. unless you mean the agentic ide, that’s antigravity. no, that’s the old antigravity, download the new one. actually gemini cli is being deprecated, use antigravity cli. no the flash model is smarter than the pro model. unless you need pro. if it’s video, use flow. no, flow uses veo. no, nano banana is images. actually that’s in gemini now. unless you’re in search, then it’s ai mode. no, research is notebooklm. anyway it’s all very simple.
I can't make sense of this: UK makes a statement at ~23:00 (Cyprus time) about UK joining the war effort in a defensive capacity & the drone hit in Akrotiri happens at 00:03. Lebanon is 250km away, and Shahed-136 top speed is 185km/h. Make the math work!

Replying to @palkan_tula @nateberkopec
Rspec isn’t not only deprecated, it is forbidden. Projects using it in the past aren’t asked to rewrite the tests, but new projects can’t use. And with AI, there is a possibility we will rewrite
