This review raised our overall rating on @sourceforge: 4.7 → 4.8! "Passwork works very well for our organization because we can host it on-premises and integrate it with SSO. This allows us to align the platform with our own security architecture and access policies." buff.ly/VjSMsi8 #passwordmanagement #passwordsecurity

Bitwarden and Passwork are both zero-knowledge solutions, but they chose different vault encryption architectures. Here's how our approach differs from a popular password manager, and how that difference plays out in practice.

This difference determines how much data one compromised key can reach, and how recovery works. Bitwarden's single admin RSA key pair can restore access for any member, but that same key becomes a single point of failure for the whole organization. Passwork's recovery restores only vaults already shared with another account, keeping exposure contained even during account recovery.
