I don’t know of many queer fans who want to bring bromance back, but for those who do and for any straight fans that want to normalize this genre again, I want to say it’s really disappointing to see.
I hope you can understand that bromance, “sisterhood”, ect was used during harsh homophobic times when queer romance was not allowed to be aired. By normalizing bromance again, you’re regressing the progress we have made to be seen as everyone else. To finally be represented and able to RELATE to intimate relationships/partnerships in film.
And it is that big of a deal, so please, stop trying to bring back something rooted in queer trauma and forced heteronormativity. 😕❤️🩹

My skin color is NOT A costume. Blackface comes from a dark history of racism, slavery and the dehumanization of My people. Our skin, our features, and our very existence were mocked and turned into entertainment by people who saw us as less than human. Our ancestors endured generations of cruelty, humiliation and suffering, and their humanity was treated like a joke. This isn’t just about putting on darker makeup. It’s about the painful history behind it and what it represents. It’s 2026, and somehow we STILL have to explain why this is offensive. It’s insulting, disrespectful and honestly exhausting.
