Exactly. I made this point from the beginning. If the war in Iran helps to hand our country over to Democrats, then for that reason alone (never mind the dozens of other reasons), it will have been a massive mistake. And that's exactly how it's playing out. As many of us said it would. The worst kind of political catastrophe: one that was entirely foreseeable, and therefore preventable, from the start.
Sorry not sorry, I just don’t agree with risking handing a demonic construct of a political party more power to immediately threaten my way of life on “supposing” Iran finally acquired something its wanted my entire life. Especially since we showed just last summer we could devastate that capability with precision whenever we wanted, and it didn’t require whatever all this mess has become for the American people. This is similar to “I had to shut down the country over a glorified flu supposing something worst would happen if I didn’t.” Anything that grants Democrats more actual power over something supposedly happening is a miscalculation of where we are culturally. The clear and present danger to the president’s America First voters is the Demoncrat Party. Talarico, Al-Sayed, Sand, etc are real threats over Iran’s perceived one. This whole thing has been a political boondoggle. TARP levels of domestic political radioactive.

Crazy to think about how Trump could’ve had one of the most successful and popular presidential terms in modern American history… and they completely punted it. He was elected by a historic coalition and was the first Republican to win the popular vote in decades because of two issues: inflation and illegal immigration. Inflation was already falling after the Covid and Biden era spending. All he had to do was close the border, conduct mass deportations, and let the economy/AI cook while pushing through deregulation. Instead, after explicitly running on ending foreign wars, he immediately started a war with Iran which has taken over the entire term. Inflation, energy prices and mortgage rates have all climbed and are heading in the wrong direction. His approval is at an all-time low. He sacrificed his own domestic agenda for a war in the Middle East alongside Israel. Republicans are now going to lose the House, possibly the Senate, and the next 2 years will be nothing but DC gridlock and investigations. The odds of handing America to the far-left in 2028 have also dramatically increased.

What did he say wrong exactly? And what exactly did you say that corrected him? The “Christian conservative” is no different than the Left. They both suffer from a diseased brain, blinded by “principles.” The same way the Left acts in bewildering manners that beguile society, so does the “conservative.” The same way the Left refuses to accept logic and rational into their brain because of their “principles,” so does the conservative. We have two diseased, sick, hallucinating, rabid rodents in charge of both sides of our politics, that have ONE unified goal, and that is to hold all of us hostage to their sick ideology and then kill us.

Conservatives for the past 50 years: We need to encourage young couples to get married and have kids. We need to protect the nuclear family. We should have more stay-at-home moms. Parents are best suited to instill values and morals in their kids during their formative years. JD Vance: Proposes giving the already allocated $12.4 billion in the Child Care and Development Fund directly to MARRIED parents so MOM can stay home and care for the kids while DAD works at least 35 hours a week, instead of sending the money to fraudulent Somali daycares and daycares draped in pride flags run by angry abusive liberal women. Some “conservatives”: OMG! NOOOOO!!!!! Not like that! That’s communism! I swear, some people just want to lose on easy 95-5 issues.

I understand why this might be difficult for a weird childless ogre to understand, but you should not be “dispassionate” about three children being strangled to death. There is nothing manly or honorable about showing total indifference to the suffering of children. Especially in your case because you in fact have been very emotional in defense of the woman who murdered them. You have plenty of passion — it’s just that you’ve spent it all on simping for a hideous witch who executed her children.

Because it inhibits dispassionate reasoning, which you'd mock in literally any other context? Nice to see Online Tough Guys finally embrace their uncontrollable raging emotions, though

If President Trump wants to lower beef prices for Americans in a truly America First AND MAHA way then THIS should be the game plan: •Pass the PRIME Act to expand local processing and direct sales. •Redirect agricultural support toward cattle, meat, eggs, dairy, produce and regenerative farming. •Help independent processors expand, rather than funneling cattle through a few corporate meatpackers. •Rebuild the domestic herd through risk protection, grazing access and support for small ranchers. •Use SNAP, school meals and other federal purchasing power to make nutrient-dense American food affordable instead of soda and ultra processed food. BY THE WAY-WHERE IS THE UPF DEFINITION WE WERE PROMISED? DID THE WH GET “THE CALL”? •Enforce competition and transparent country-of-origin labeling.

This is an outright lie @GeraldoRivera , I saw pictures of celebrities in Haiti, basking in the sun, sipping cocktails, swimming in ocean, telling us all that Haiti is beautiful country, that has no problems. This was done in response to the President Trump “shit hole” comment. Haiti is beautiful, with no problems, and all Haitians should be delighted to return to such an amazing country. Or was that all just anti Trump BS?

That’s just not true. No person would be turned away from voting. Any person without documentation would be able to sign an attestation. The SAVE America Act does NOT require proof of citizenship for those already registered to vote. Why don’t you suggest an amendment which would allow remote Alaskan voters to attach a copy of their proof of citizenship + photo ID to an absentee ballot? It’s completely disingenuous to say you don’t have the time to implement the SAVE America Act when you could have passed it last year. It’s equally as bad to say that you support photo ID & proof of citizenship when you won’t even offer suggestions for how to earn your support on this legislation. Looks like I’ll have to travel to Alaska to ask the voters themselves.

Senate Rules require senators to seek the permission of the Senate to be absent and miss votes. Mitch McConnell has been absent in violation of this rule for how long now? And you’re pretending the Vice President, who by the way doesn’t work for John Thune, is the problem here? The little game is beyond tiresome. We all know why WSJ is melting down about Vance—he’s not a neocon—so let’s just drop the pretense. And blaming Vance for GOP conference problems caused directly by the intransigence of McConnell, Murkowski, and Tillis is absurd.
Nice try. When Vance chose to blow off the GOP to go on Rogan--and when this was written--his wife was still expecting. And as problematic as McConnell's absence is, there is a gulf between having to be admitted to the hospital for a health issue, and choosing to fly to Texas for a taping.

A notable split in this week’s data: Philly Fed Manufacturing: General Business Activity index surged +31.1 pts to 41.4 (from 10.3). Exceptionally large move (avg monthly change ~8 pts historically). Big swings of 15–25+ points happen during turning points, recoveries from contractions, or periods of economic stress/shocks but +31 is well above average and among the more significant monthly gains on record. Sharp gains in new orders, shipments & work hours. More than 50% of firms reported higher activity. Factory prices still elevated: • Prices Paid: 53.9 • Prices Received: 27.4 • Zero firms saw declines Healthy signals marching together: - June CPI: -0.4% MoM (biggest drop since 2020), core flat, shelter +0.1% (smallest since 2021). - National ISM PMI has now expanded for 6 straight months (53.3 in June). Regional manufacturing activity accelerated dramatically in July but with persistent cost pressures under cooling consumer inflation. 6-month expectations cooled (to 34.4, still positive). The question now is whether this eye-popping regional surge is confirmed by national manufacturing data.
