The 2026 Poppy Campaign is here! And there's no better way to mark the occasion than seeing the Poppy Drop display cascade down the Senate building.
From October 24 - November 11, digital Poppies will cascade down the Senate building to honour the fallen who fought for our freedom. The virtual wall of honour will also be displayed on one of the Senate's columns.
The display will run every evening from 6:30 - 9:30 pm ET except for November 10th and 11th, when they will run until midnight ET.
Forgot to get a pumpkin to carve for tonight. Will have to see what we can do with a butternut squash.

The 6am flight from Ottawa to Toronto this morning was an interesting mix of business people with no luggage and travellers cramming luggage that is in no way “carryon” sized into overhead bins so they can run with them to connecting flights. Pretty entertaining really.
