You know what shook me when I was Muslim? The story of Hosea: In it, God tells a prophet to marry a woman He KNOWS will betray him. She does. She runs to other men. She ends up enslaved, sold, and used up. Essentially, she is worthless to the world. Then, God tells Hosea to go BUY HER BACK, to pay money for his own wife who cheated on him, and love her again. (Hosea 3) I thought it was the most humiliating command in the Bible. Bro, why would any man do that!? Then I realized I was exactly like the wife. I gave my heart to everything but God. I chased other masters and I sold myself cheap. In a way, I made myself worthless. But, God looked at me, the betrayer, and didn’t say “you’re not worth it.” Instead, He said, “Name the price. I’m buying her back.” What's beautiful about this is, that’s the entire Gospel. God doesn’t wait for the unfaithful to come crawling back clean. He pays to redeem them while they’re still dirty. Islam told me to make myself WORTHY of God. Hosea showed me an amazing, present God who pays to redeem the unworthy. The cross was Him naming the price. Praise the Lord! Follow for more Christian apologetics that doesn't stop at winning arguments but equips you to actually reach people!

Ok you left-wing morons, try to bullshit your way out of this... I want to shake the hand of the guy who wrote this... Have you ever seen a Muslim hospital? Have you heard a Muslim orchestra? Have you seen a Muslim band march in a parade? Have you witnessed a Muslim charity? Have you shaken hands with a Muslim Girl Scout? Have you seen a Muslim Candy Striper? The answer is no, you have not. Just ask yourself WHY ??? Barack Obama, during his Cairo speech, said: "I know, too, that Islam has always been a part of America 's history." AN AMERICAN CITIZEN'S RESPONSE Dear Mr. Obama: Were those Muslims that were in America when the Pilgrims first landed? Funny, I thought they were Native American Indians. Were those Muslims who celebrated the first Thanksgiving Day? Sorry again, those were Pilgrims and Native American Indians. Can you show me one Muslim signature on the United States Constitution? Declaration of Independence? Bill of Rights? Didn't think so. Did Muslims fight for this country's freedom from England? No. Did Muslims fight during the Civil War to free the slaves in America? No, they did not. In fact, Muslims to this day are still the largest traffickers in human slavery. Your own half-brother, a devout Muslim, still advocates slavery himself, even though Muslims of Arabic descent refer to black Muslims as "pug-nosed slaves." Says a lot about what the Muslim world really thinks of your family's "rich Islamic heritage," doesn't it, Mr. Obama? Where were Muslims during the Civil Rights era of this country? Not present. There are no pictures or media accounts of Muslims walking side by side with Martin Luther King, Jr. or helping to advance the cause of Civil Rights. Where were Muslims during this country's Women's Suffrage era? Again, not present. In fact, devout Muslims demand that women are subservient to men in the Islamic culture. So much so that they are often beaten for not wearing the 'hijab' or for talking to a man who is not a direct family member or their husband. Yep, the Muslims are all for women's rights, aren't they? Where were Muslims during World War II? They were aligned with Adolf Hitler. The Muslim grand mufti himself met with Adolf Hitler, reviewed the troops, and accepted support from the Nazi's in killing Jews. Finally, Mr. Obama, where were Muslims on Sept. 11th, 2001? If they weren't flying planes into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, or a field in Pennsylvania, killing nearly 3,000 people on our own soil, they were rejoicing in the Middle East. No one can dispute the pictures shown from all parts of the Muslim world celebrating on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and other cable news networks that day. Strangely, the very "moderate" Muslims whose asses you bent over backward to kiss in Cairo, Egypt on June 4th were stone cold silent post 9-11. To many American's, their silence has meant approval for the acts of that day. And THAT, Mr. Obama, is the "rich heritage" Muslims have here in America ... Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot to mention the Barbary Pirates. They were Muslims. And now we can add November 5, 2009 - the slaughter of American soldiers at Fort Hood by a Muslim major who is a doctor and a psychiatrist who was supposed to be counseling soldiers returning from battle in Iraq and Afghanistan. Also, don't forget the Boston Marathon bombing on April 15.2013 was done by 2 Muslim Brothers. That, Mr. Obama, is the "Muslim heritage" in America EVERY AMERICAN MUST READ THIS !! Be sure to SEND IT TO ALL. Muslim Heritage, my ass. That's what I did to inform people about these things.

Calvinists do not reject free will. But we are honest about the fact that the will is in bondage to its own sinful nature. The will chooses what it wants. And in its natural state, nobody wants God.

Replying to @CherylSchatz
Cheryl, I agree that the brothers sold Joseph and that God did not morally commit their evil. But Genesis 50:20 does not allow us to separate their action from God’s purpose the way you are doing. Joseph does not say, “You meant evil, but God later turned it into good.” He says: “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good.” (Genesis 50:20 ESV) Same event. Two intentions. The brothers meant it for evil. God meant it for good, specifically “to bring it about that many people should be kept alive.” And Genesis 45:5 says, “God sent me before you to preserve life.” How did God send Joseph to Egypt? Through the very actions of his brothers. So yes, they sold him. God sent him. Those statements are not competing explanations. They are Joseph’s explanation of two intentions operating in the same event. The brothers intended evil. God intended good. And God’s intention prevailed.

🏛️ THE COUNCIL RECOGNIZES CHERYL This hypothetical actually misunderstands why Calvinists evangelize. We do not preach the gospel merely because we are ignorant of who the elect are. We preach the gospel because Christ commanded us to preach the gospel to everyone. “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” Mark 16:15 Even if God handed me a list of the elect tomorrow, I would still have no biblical authorization to withhold the gospel from anyone. And Paul gives us an interesting combination: “Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus...” 2 Timothy 2:10 Paul doesn't reason: Election means evangelism is unnecessary. He reasons: Election motivates him to endure in evangelism because God saves His elect through the proclamation of the gospel. The decree includes the means. And there is another category being confused here. The universal gospel call is not the same thing as universal atonement. We genuinely tell every sinner: Repent and believe in Jesus Christ, and you will be saved. There is no hidden qualification saying, “provided you first discover whether you're elect.” So the answer to the hypothetical is simple: Yes. Even if I somehow knew someone was non-elect, Christ's command to proclaim the gospel would still be Christ's command. The Calvinist's authority for evangelism isn't an invisible “E.” It's the visible Word of God. The Clerk has entered the Great Commission into evidence. Romans 9 remains at the door wondering why everyone thinks election makes evangelism optional. 😂🏛️
Many Calvinists think like Dr. James White, who says they evangelize everyone because they don’t know who the elect are. As he puts it, they don’t have an “E” on their back identifying them as elect. But consider the implication. If Calvinists actually could identify the elect, what would happen? If a Calvinist approached someone and saw no “E” on their back, would they still proclaim the gospel to that person, or would they simply walk past and look for someone else? It appears the answer would be the latter. And that exposes the tension in the system. The gospel is preached to everyone, not because Christ died for everyone, but because Calvinists don’t know who the elect are. The universal offer of the gospel therefore becomes a matter of ignorance about who was secretly chosen, not an expression of God’s genuine saving provision for every person who hears. If the “E” were visible, would the gospel still be offered to the person without it? That is the question that exposes the contradiction for in their system, the universal gospel call becomes meaningless if Christ’s saving provision was never intended for everyone.

Islam makes you pick a Torah, and every pick loses. Option one: the Torah was corrupted before Muhammad. Then why does the Quran, in the 600s AD, point people to the Torah “with them,” present tense, Surah 5:43, and tell them to judge by it? Allah endorsing a corrupted book? Option two: corrupted after Muhammad. Then the Dead Sea Scrolls, sealed in caves centuries BEFORE Muhammad, should differ from today’s text. They don’t. Option three: never corrupted. Then the Quran contradicts a book it certifies, and it’s not the Torah that has the problem. Three doors, bro. Rattle every handle. It won’t go anywhere. There’s no fourth door. I looked. God knows I looked, too. I can’t base my faith off a book that apparently never existed, and there isn’t a single page of evidence for. I trust the Torah today that witnesses to Christ our King.

Your "heart breaks" for the woman who committed murder? My heart breaks for the three innocent children she strangled.
My heart breaks for Lindsay Clancy. I hate that it took a tragedy like this to talk about women's mental health and postpartum depression. Too often, it is swept under the rug.  Our healthcare system has failed women. Many women are given the baby, told good luck, and thrown out on the street. These are real issues that impact tons of new moms. And it can lead to psychosis that gets worse with each child. The only way it changes is by addressing a healthcare system that is overwhelmed and unaccessible.

Let’s see if I’ve got this right… 5 Democrat states are suing Trump to keep Somalians defrauding America. 19 states are suing him to allow forced sex change operations on kids. 22 states are suing him to hide voter data. 21 states are suing him to give SNAP benefits to illegal immigrants. Stop calling them liberals and start calling them what they really are… traitors & communists. Let’s make that a trend.

Calvinism didn't change the gospel I believed. It changed how I understood why I believed it. The gospel is still the same. Christ died for sinners. Christ rose from the dead. Repent and believe the gospel. Everyone who comes to Christ will be saved. The question that changed for me was this: Why did I come? Why did I believe when others hear the same gospel and reject it? I used to look for the answer somewhere in me. My willingness. My decision. My response. But Scripture kept pushing me somewhere else. “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him.” (John 6:44) I came willingly. I believed genuinely. But underneath my faith was something far greater than my decision. The grace of God that brought me to Christ.

What happens when we take libertarian free will to its logical conclusion? If man's will must remain ultimately independent in order for his choices to be genuinely free, some difficult questions follow. If I supplied the decisive choice that separated me from the unbeliever, then did I contribute something decisive to my salvation? If libertarian freedom must always remain intact, what guarantees that I will continue choosing Christ tomorrow? Can God guarantee my perseverance without determining anything about my future choices? And if God infallibly knows that I will choose Christ tomorrow, am I genuinely free tomorrow to choose otherwise? Some have followed that last question all the way to Open Theism and concluded that God cannot exhaustively know future free choices. Most Arminians reject that conclusion, and rightly so. But then the tension remains. How can my future choice be both infallibly known by God and yet genuinely capable of turning out differently? This is why the Calvinism debate is about much more than predestination. It eventually becomes a question of who is ultimately decisive in salvation. Is God waiting to see what an autonomous human will does with grace? Or does God actually save sinners, grant faith, preserve His people, and bring His work to completion? “He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion.” (Philippians 1:6) My confidence is not ultimately that I will keep holding onto Christ. It is that Christ will keep holding onto me.

Why are we so uncomfortable with the idea that salvation is entirely the work of God? That you contributed nothing that caused God to save you. You were not wiser, more spiritual, or more willing than the person who remains in unbelief. You were dead in sin, and God made you alive. “But I chose Christ.” Yes. But why did you choose Him when another sinner heard the same gospel and did not? “But I believed.” Absolutely. But why did you believe? “For by grace you have been saved through faith...it is the gift of God.” (Ephesians 2:8) This is where much of the hostility toward Calvinism seems to begin. Calvinism does not deny faith, repentance, or believing. It denies that any of them give us a reason to boast as though we supplied the decisive contribution. If salvation is truly by grace, then God does not merely make salvation possible. He saves. And He gets all the glory.

I keep seeing Calvinism called “satanic.” That is a serious accusation. So let’s forget the label for a moment and deal with what Calvinism actually teaches. Is it satanic to say that fallen man cannot come to Christ unless the Father draws him? John 6:44 Is it satanic to say that God chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world? Ephesians 1:4 Is it satanic to say that salvation depends not on human will or effort, but on God who shows mercy? Romans 9:16 Is it satanic to say that even our coming to Christ is granted by the Father? John 6:65 You can disagree with Calvinism. You can argue that Calvinists interpret these passages incorrectly. But calling it “satanic” does not answer the texts. And it still leaves the question: Two equally fallen sinners hear the same gospel. One believes and the other does not. What ultimately made the difference? If your answer is something in the sinner, explain what it was. If your answer is the grace of God, then we are getting much closer to the actual disagreement.
