I'm seeing the same shift here. Less of my day goes to doing the work. More goes to giving the AI agents I set up clear instructions, then checking what comes back. I don't create/review issues directly anymore. I chat with @bot. Almost everything has changed and is changing.
Increasingly this will be the new job description for a lot of roles, not just coding. We’re clearly moving from a world where agents help us do our work incrementally better or faster, to us helping agents do their work. This turns everyone in one of these positions to that of a manager of a team of agents, instead of an individual contributor with just some added leverage from AI. The biggest areas of impact will be information-heavy jobs, like coding, cybersecurity, legal work, biotech, engineering, and many other fields. And as a result, in these jobs your leverage will begin to be decoupled from the normal ratio of hours spent working to output generated. For essentially the history of knowledge work the main variable you had to play with was hours of work done (assuming fixed level talent/coordination/strategy). Now we’ve separated these variables because agents can parallelize work for us, to in theory execute as much as we need to pull off whatever goal we’re trying to accomplish. The people and organizations that discover this sooner, and orient their operations around it, will see compounding gains in their workflows.

Wish list: truly shared @bot. Use cases: 1. Embedded in a team, where everyone talks to the same bot, not a copy of a template 2. A Home Bot my wife and I share, both seeing the full convo Maybe invite any Bot into X @chat. Anyone else? Let's replace Slack @XBusiness @poteto @kiaraplds @mattyp @AlexMostafavi

Level 10 - add @bot to a Level 5 🚀
All employees come in 5 levels, choose wisely: Level 1 - tells you there's a problem Level 2 - tells you there's a problem and what caused it Level 3 - tells you there's a problem, what caused it, and options to fix it Level 4 - tells you there's a problem, what caused it, options to fix it, and which one they'd pick Level 5 - tells you there was a problem, what caused it, how they fixed it, and future proof’d it

Well I didn't see this coming but as someone who uses @DoorDash and @Instacart nearly every day... the possibility of the combined network is interesting!
Today we’re announcing @DoorDash’s intent to acquire @Instacart. Both DoorDash and Instacart share a mission to help local businesses succeed. Together, we could give grocers and retailers of every size the best of both in one service: DoorDash's delivery network and Instacart’s grocery and fulfillment technology, along with the advertising and AI tools each company has built. Until closing, DoorDash and Instacart will keep operating as separate, independent companies. Find out on how we’re helping Main Street compete and keeping more dollars local: shoplocaltogether.com For important additional information, read more here: ir.doordash.com/news/news-de…

@DoorDash_Help while we're here... I'm having some trouble this morning loading a few gift cards into my account. Do you DM?

Took my wife and our 6 kids to vote today. 🇺🇲 Many people used to ask a neighbor how to vote. This may be the first election where folks just say: "Hey @Grok, look up my precinct and tell me how to vote based on my views and posts." Be honest, who is using AI to vote?

Shelby and I have been married for ten years. Six kids later, marriage to her has been one of the most rewarding decisions of my life. Every business has hard seasons. God and Family make every hard moment worth it.
A great career can’t fix a miserable marriage, but a great marriage can make a hard life feel worth it.

Grok @Bot can now call someone or a business for you, make a request on your behalf, take notes on the response and send you a note summarizing the conversation!
Grok Bot 0.77 looks INSANE 🔥 > Calls: your Bot can dial someone, sit on hold, press keys and get transferred while you watch a live transcript > Messages on Mac: a setup screen under Connect Apps, still switched off > Tailscale: Grok Bot can join your private tailnet once an admin approves it > Payments: a screen to connect payment accounts and pick a default, on top of yesterday’s Vault > Sharing: emails when someone shares a Bot with you, and invites need Premium or Ultra

Closer to having Tony Stark Jarvis IRL! Waiting for Optimus!
Everyone said "Hey Grok" was impossible on iPhone. Even Grok said Apple keeps wake words for Siri only. So I kept digging, and I found a way. Now I just say "Hey Grok" and Grok Bot voice chat opens. No extra apps, no cost, all built into iOS. How to set it up: 1. Make sure your Grok Bot app is up to date 2. Shortcuts app → + → Add Action → search "Grok Bot" → pick "Start Voice Chat with Bot" 3. Settings → Accessibility → Vocal Shortcuts → Set Up → pick that shortcut → type "Hey Grok" and say it 3 times 4. In the shortcut's details, turn on "Allow Running When Locked" If your phone is locked, iOS asks for one tap first. If Face ID already unlocked it, it's fully hands-free.

Is it just me or does anyone else NOT like having @bot in @chat ? Really would like to have the choice to filter out only bots.

This is amazing and startling at the same time. No one is prepared for this. Without discernment from God himself, there will be no distinguishing what is real and what is not.
We made the first AI model you can have a realistic conversation with that was trained entirely on speech! Dessa is a full-duplex speech-to-speech model that you can run on consumer GPUs. This is a GPT3 moment for speech.

100% this comes up a lot with my wife and me. Now at 6 under 8. I can't imagine the world without any of them.
It’s funny, you always think about how many kids you ‘want’ to have in the abstract. ‘3 or 4 feels right. Idk maybe 5 feels too much.’ We have 4 little ones under 6 - our newest little girl’s name is Clare. I might have told you in a previous life that I only ever wanted 2 or 3 kids. But that’s not how it actually happens. Kids aren’t numbers in the abstract. The real question is this ‘would you rather have a world where Clare exists or not?’ And then it’s not even close. Of course. Here’s to as many more Clares as the Lord will give us.

Exciting times!
We believe voice is the most natural way to interact with intelligence, so we created Dessa, the most authentic full-duplex speech model ever built. Talking with it feels like talking with a person…full of emotion, nuance, pauses, and a natural cadence. block.xyz/dessa

Grok @bot was already the single greatest time unlock. 🚀
Grok Bot can now use Calendar, Reminders, Contacts, and more apps on your phone. Rolling out now on iOS and Android.
