🚨 UPDATE: The Iranian regime has sentenced 23-year-old student Najmeh Amini to DEATH for "insulting the prophet" in a social media post WHERE IS THE UNITED NATIONS? Where are the liberal FEMINIST groups? 😡 She was sentenced to death last month but we now know the reason is INSULTING THE PROPHET This is what Islamic theocracy looks like. She was arrested January 31 for joining the mass protests against the regime. She spent eight months in Mashhad's Vakilabad Prison, reportedly with no lawyer. On top of the death sentence, she got 12 more years for "anti-regime propaganda" The world cannot stay silent while they hang a young woman over SPEECH!

The Islamic regime has created an image of Khamenei alongside the Achaemenid "Immortal Guard" (part of the Persian Imperial Army)! I can't help but laugh; how small-minded they are! For 47 years, the mullahs and the Islamic Republic have been at war with Iran itself—with its identity, culture, and spirit. They even blocked the roads leading to the Tomb of Cyrus the Great so that people could not visit that Achaemenid king. Khamenei used to say that anything regarding the Achaemenids was "nonsense." And now, after 47 years, have they suddenly remembered they are Iranian and decided to liken themselves to the Achaemenids? Have they suddenly "discovered" Xerxes? Do you see the humiliation and disgrace they endure just to cling to power? It is truly gratifying to see them begging the people for attention—even trampling on their own words and beliefs—in the hope that a couple of people might be fooled.

Wrong. Trump has not mismanaged this. Mismanaging it, as you might have suggested, placing American soldiers on the ground there (loss of many US lives) or demolishing the critical infrastructure that Iranian citizens will need post regime (obvious problems). You may be impatient, but your impatience has ZERO to do with how the US (and Trump) has managed this conflict. Save your criticism for now.

Remember Minab? The city where the regime and its media kept repeating that “Minab schoolgirls were targeted.” Now watch this video from Minab itself. Ordinary people are telling President Trump: “Mr. Trump, you’re succeeding in bringing down the regime. You’re on the right path. They’re falling. We’re with you — keep going.” This is the real voice of the Iranian people. Around 92% of Iranians oppose this Islamic Republic and want it overthrown. Don’t let Democrats and liberals lie to you about what Iranians actually want.

The same people who shut down campuses, set buildings on fire, and stab police over an injured kitten in Palestine are the same ones who said NOTHING when nearly 100,000 people were massacred with live bullets by the Islamic Regime in Iran. Not only silent — they dismissed the victims as worthless and blamed it all on "foreign agents." These people are morally corrupt. People like Mamdani and El-Sayed are perfect examples of it, along with the rest of the left and the Palestine-obsessed crowd. Iranians have a beautiful, absolutely true saying: Palestine is the common denominator of the world's bastards . Iranians are the most politically enlightened people in the world. Prove me wrong !

Dear world, Iran was not a Muslim country, it was conquered by Islam. This is how Iran looked before the Islamic Republic. Make Iran Great Again 🇮🇷

I don't understand the animosity toward HHS Secretary Kennedy. We who've waited decades learned how slow the system works — especially given the mass psychological manipulation that requires careful unwinding. The noisy narcissists demanding instant action threaten our progress.

Read all of the new column from Matt @continetti in the @WSJ. The link is in the replies. But here are the diamond-hard core truths of the column (and our times): “Hamas’s greater ambition was to challenge the very premises of Western civilization—our collective ability to distinguish right from wrong, good from evil, truth from falsehood. Oct. 7 was a moral test. All too many have failed it…. Mr. Mamdani spawned a crop of anti-Israel Democratic House candidates who will almost certainly win in their deep-blue districts next month. His ideological cousin is Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic Senate nominee in Michigan, who refuses to affirm Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state, gave a mealy-mouthed response after a Muslim man attempted to drive a car into a synagogue preschool and wouldn’t condemn the IRGC while speaking to a Persian-American student. The Cook Political Report with Amy Walter says Mr. El-Sayed’s race is a tossup. A tossup—what an apt yet bleak description of today’s moral stakes, of the present situation wherein so many Americans can’t distinguish between what is real and what is fake, what is good and what is bad, what is justified and what is lawless. Three years after Oct. 7, Israelis can spot the difference between friends and enemies and act appropriately. Many in the West can’t. That must change. Every day since Oct. 7 brings a fresh assessment of our ability to see plainly and to choose the right side. Be sharp. This exam isn’t over.” Matt is the equal of any center-right to conservative analyst working today. In today’s column he tackles the most important topic for every voter this fall: Do you know right from wrong? The “good” as opposed to “evil?” Because the DSAers and those adjacent to the DSA do not. Israel is the equal of any of America’s allies, a democracy that celebrates freedom, has free and fair elections, and which has massive military power and the will to deploy it when it must. If the Islamic Republic collapses not only would the Iranian people be free of the tyranny of the IRGC, the entire region could resume its walk towards normalization begun with the Abraham Accords. America’s allies in the Middle East want peace. The rump regime in Tehran does not. The Islamic Republic of Iran and its tentacles in Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis and its cousins in Sunni Islamist movements around the globe are the embodiment of evil. The IRGC gunned down tens of thousands of its own people in January and opened battles with all of the countries in the Gulf in March. The Islamic Republic is responsible for the deaths of thousands of Americans and our allies since it took over Iran in 1979. The DSA doesn’t believe this. It believes the opposite. As does its (growing) wing within the Democratic Party. Voters who don’t understand what El-Sayed, Talarico, Flanagan and Jackson stand for lack a moral framework for judging America’s collective character and should not be in the Senate.

From “News Items” from @EllisItems (substack.news-items.com): “8. The Economist: Iran is no stranger to economic crises—but this one looks uniquely bad. Even Mohsen Rezaei, the bombastic security chief, recently warned colleagues that Iran is facing one of the most difficult periods in its history, according to state media. America’s sanctions-and-blockade campaign is working, on its own terms. It is still unclear whether it will push Iran to end the Gulf war, now in its eighth month. The rial has crashed through one record low after another. It trades at around 2.7m to the dollar. It has lost half its value this year (and 99% over the past decade). Last month the central bank injected $2 billion of foreign currency into the market. That slowed the decline but failed to reverse it. Currency collapse has spurred galloping year-on-year inflation, which hit 90% in September. Food and transport prices increased by more than 115%, and clothing by 97%. Prices for staple goods such as cooking oil, eggs and rice are all up by more than 200%. Pensioners have staged protests over allowances eroded by inflation. The nurses’ association says some members would rather quit than work for salaries that are now worth just $100 a month. (Source: economist.com)”

US federal budget deficits are about to structurally wipe us out in the depths of the volcker recession (short, sharp, and brutal to break the back of the carter inflation), they hit 6%. that's now a best case scenario. the greenspan put, helicopter ben, whatever the heck yellen was supposed to be, powell under lockdown, every "crisis" from a bubble bursting has been a one way ratchet down from which we never recover and the "print to till the plates melt" philosophy keeps begetting the next bubble with loose money. dotcom, real estate, biotech, crypto, AI, we've never seen concatenated bubbles like this before. and the final boss bubble was US treasuries. and it's ending. the bond market vigilantes are now in charge. it would be in no way historically odd for the US treasury to pay 6% yields on debt (up from mid 3's now), with this debt pile and the $2.5tn a year growth rate, we could be at 8-9% if GDP going to debt service inside of 3-5 years, faster if the AI bubble bursts. i mean, do the math $50tn at 6% = $3tn just in interest. that's close to 6X 2018-19 levels. that could be 5 years from now (and is conservative on debt level). ~1/3 is US debt is sub 1 year duration. you don't come back from that. it's a disaster curve and the idea that you can "inflate it away" without wrecking the economy is dangerously economically illiterate. (ask weimar, venezeula, argentina, zimbabwe). this is turning into one of those horror movies where the guy in the hockey mask with the meat hook is standing right in the middle of the room and no one seems to be able to see him. there is no slack left and the US bond market clearly does not believe the Fed or the treasury. ~15 years of ZIRP loaded us with debt we did not have to pay for. now we do. that was not normal. this is. and it's not going away. the one set of progress we've made on this in living memory was the gingrich congress in 1992. their "contract with america" actually worked to staunch the budget bleeding. their pre-announced legislative agenda, published before the election so people could read what they were voting for was a sound and serious set policy and it worked (until the dotcom bust brought out all the spend and pretend interventionists). if there is not a contract with america 2.0 in the 2028 election, we're likely going over the falls on federal insolvency. the debt is too big to manipulate and rates are getting real. this is not a can that can be kicked any further down the road.
