Sa non-fishes (mostly land animals), for meat to be halal, it must come from a permitted animal (such as cattle, sheep, goats, or poultry) that is healthy and kinatay ng isang Muslim who recites a dedication (such as Bismillah) with a swift cut that drains the blood for ethical consumption.
This is where Bela got it confused. Fishes are naturally halal (depending on which Islamic sect you are looking at)
