OncoThon 2026, organized by OncoDaily in collaboration with the Union for International Cancer Control (@uicc), brought together voices from across continents to confront one shared challenge: how to deliver equitable, patient-centered cancer care - wherever people live.
Across sessions, @ulrikaarehed, @penilla, @DrCaryAdams, Minister Prof. @EvisSala, @KatrienLaere, Lawrence Faulkner, Ikram Eseghir, Prof. Alberto Costa, Fadlo R. Khuri, and @GevTamamyan shared insights on Current Challenges in Cancer Care.
Together, speakers highlighted the urgent need for global collaboration 🤝, innovation💡, and policy action to reduce disparities, strengthen health systems, and ensure equitable, patient-centered cancer care worldwide 🌍.
They also underscored the unique challenges faced by low- and middle-income countries, calling for sustainable financing, capacity building, and context-specific solutions to expand access to timely diagnosis and quality cancer care.
