The sheer level of undeserved snobbery is what gets to me. he thinks just because the Jewish race has survived for far longer than Christianity, this means he can take credit for all of the biblical contributions to western civilization
Actually, no, you don’t. It was the Catholic Church, and more specifically, the institution of the Papacy which ensured that the priceless spiritual, moral, cultural treasures contained within the old and new testaments would lay the foundation of European civilization following the fall of the western Roman Empire.
That’s why refer to the next 1,500 years of Europeans history as the history of *Christendom*, not Judeo-Christendom
