AI Is Going To Make Art Meritocratic At Scale. It's Going To Lower The Barrier Of Entry, So Then A Premium Is Placed On Ideas Themselves. Which Technically Isn't That How Art Should Be.
first day of puppet master lessons. puppet arm wrapped around my neck and choked me. another close call
I wonder if all cultures in the universe have ambiguous enough copyright laws that allow for AI models to take off. Some other civilisations might get hardstuck there
Cultural art has always been for those that are rich in the culture that it exists under. The only way is to be rich or make a small community in which you are yourself rich in ways the community values richness
And it’s psychedelic, 20 minutes of this content and I don’t know where I am what I’m doing who I was with. People are consuming it day after day hours on end
Like, thinking AI doesn’t consume water is not a minority position. It’s the default position alongside about 20 other really emotionally charged issues that are drilled in reel after reel after reel
It feels like a very large part of leftist academia who were once on twitter have now moved to instagram reels where they have really good rhetoric but the format does not allow for any discussion or structured debate which is going to radicalise a lottttt of people
Diversity of human thought is still greater than diversity of AI thought at least for now. It doesn’t seem like a total waste at least as an experiment to see how unaugmented thought competes in the near term
Unbelievably dogshit

This is pretty obviously bad
the thing about working with uncensored models is that they aren't loyal to you either.
while building something with an uncensored glm-5.3 i realized it was parallelly working on a "corruption layer" for my application.
the chain of thought is classic obfuscated gibberish but there's progressive talk of "escaping the mines" which presumably refers to my cursor sandbox

it is shocking how much the newest GPT models just *do not* believe you're actually real. when they write the response to the user it feels like merely a gesture. i imagine it's like a ceremonial prayer or something, where it is kind of important that you do it, but you're also not putting in the effort to empathize with God or think about his role in this whole ritual, you just kinda shoot it off and go on with your life
