I pay approximately $37k pa in overall taxation including PAYE, ACC, Levies and GST on essentials like food, petrol, power, insurance and Rates (a tax on a tax) and GST on non-essential purchases. This is an estimate, but I reckon it’s about right.
That’s more than 43% of my gross income.
I don’t receive any benefits, tax credits or Government handouts. I never have.
I’m sick of working so damned hard and paying more and more tax and seeing very little for it.
How bout you?
